I would never have thought that I could build something like this, but I did and it turned out fantastic. My son is a musician, so instead of vial holders on the hatband, I made guitar pick holders and stamped his band name on the hatband. He tells me he got all kinds of compliments at his latest gig.

This is awesome! I love it! Have you seen some of the hats with a similar pattern where they have pouches on the hat instead of vials? Its sort of like waist belt pouches but on a hat. I'd love to see an amalgam of this hat and the top hat. Love the foldover edge on the brim instead of using a separate piece. This came out beautiful!

Hi Tony, I bought this pattern but the pattern does not include the rim part of the top. (to connect item B to C) Item C is not included as per the video. Also the holes do not show being round and nor are there any center markings to allign properly, I have the same issue with the Bandit cowboy hat.

I love the look of this hat, but wouldn't it chafe at the base of the crown? I seem to recall seeing some kind of comfort band on a mass-marketed hat, before. Might be a nice thing for people to add in, if they plan on wearing for prolonged periods of time
