The hell? Everyone's expecting you to switch on and extend the lightsaber, then kill some enemies, damn

So sorry to disappoint... it would have been very messy to tidy up though and I've only just changed the flooring. :/

Really nice and clean, one problem though, if you use it for too long the heat coming from the LED can actually melt the plan that holds it. Those LEDs are so powerful that they are usually recommended to be used with a heatsink and even active cooling such as a fan or a water cooling cycle. You have to be very careful using these kinds of high Wattage LEDs, not to ruin your projects but more importantly not to harm yourself. They can get real hot real fast that they can give you a serious burn. Please be careful if you are gonna build this. Other than that it looks great! Keep up the good work.

Thanks. Yes, you're right they can get hot. I worked to increase airflow around the aluminum plate as much as possible with the 3D printed design whilst removing any chance of accidentally touching it once assembled.

@@DIYMachines I would actually recommend just adding a small fan blowing the air out and away from the LED underneath the lightsaber if you have some space, that way you can get rid of the extra heat saving both the printed parts as well as the LED as it might get damaged as well.

Ahhhhhh... I'd never considered using the slicing software to add filament change points. That's brilliant. I've just been eyeballing it mid-print.

It's much easier. I previously did it by eye balling it as well but would pop into another room to do something and then when I remembered I was supposed to be watching the print it was too late. :/
