Can you splice the power wire and add power outlets or would you need more power to do this?

I'm using your PCB however the potentiometer is not controlling the brightness. If I use the webUI I'm able to use the slider and control the brightness with not problem. I've triple checked the wiring and even replaced the potentiometer but still not working. Thoughts?

Nice design. Looks like you would have to have this close to the wall to have a crisp image. I would advise everyone to not allow any website access to your router.

im planing on making this larger scale, a 160 by 60cm area, im thinking it would be good to go with 5 indtead of 3mm thick to prevent sag. what kind of magnet was used? im asuming a neodimium would sufice right? also as im modeling the whole thing in blender first, how thick is the sand layer roughly?

Best Project on KZbin. I wanted to build this since two years now, and I finally just got a 3d printer. How much filament is used in this project?

This pen plotter is very well designed and the instructions by Lewis are outstanding. There are not many projects that are so well presented and documented. Thank you for sharing your excellent work. I have built the plotter and it functions well. However, I have run into a problem using Inkscape. There have been many upgrades to Inkscape since this project was published. The present version of Inkscape is 1.4 and the extensions provided by Lewis do not seem to work. I have installed the extensions as instructed. When clicking on the extension to save an image created on Inkscape the frame that provides for entering a filename and destination does not appear and the process appears to terminate without saving the work. I would appreciate any advice on how to fix this problem. Thanks.

Could you use this to project anything using just the projection part?
@DIYMachines24 күн бұрын
You could do, but as designed here it's mostly geared towards circular objects (hence the cone acting as an annular shutter).

Hi, great video thanks! My son would like us to build a portable laptimer in a carry case. We need two digits to be about 8" (+/- 190 x 120mm) in size. Then we need it to have a 5volt rechargeable LiPo battery. Are you able to give us any ideas on how we could best do this? My son is 14 and very interested in programming but he is also an Athlete. Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks, Andrew

I came along this channel today, and I am delighted. As a crafter coming from arts and more of a painter, I am very new to 3D printing. I am experienced in 1:1 resin, but initially thought 3D printers substitute everything transparent with the according filament. The resin is much more shiny and translucent, for sure, but knowing printer enthusisasts still uns the 'good old' products is heartwarming. As I just stepped into 3D printing I am keen to explore the possibilities. This channel seems to have a wider vision and connects different techniques and ideas from usually not corresponding hobbies. That's brilliant. Sub is on the way, the 114.001st 🙂

Was a bit dubious about this when it first started, but like others have said, really great project and nice production work! The pace of delivery is slower than many of these type of videos, but VERY useful and much easier to follow what's going on. And all very clear. Many thanks for the time and effort you have clearly expended on this.

Thank you very much! I'm glad you enjoyed it and noticed what style I was going for - slower and with everything in it you need to successfully reproduce it. 🙂

Great video. I've gotten all the parts, including the PCB, but unfortunately I did not succeed. It must something I have done, or a broken component. That's the thing about doing something, without understanding it's basics, I am unable to diagnose the problem. I was so excited to see it work. 🥲

Awesome video! I was trying to 3d print the pieces and was having trouble with the MotorBaseLeft.stl piece. It has bad or missing geometry. Looks like it was exported as a sheetmetal cad file so some walls are missing but internally it’s hard to tell. Do you have an updated file? Thank you!

NO. This is NOT Dupont connectors crimper. The difference is small but important. As you see the last pair of wings on Dupont connector, those crimped arround the insulation are designed to be , well, ARROUND the insulation (triangle shape and they don't meet each other) and only smaller wings should be crimped in M shape to hold the cable well :) In your case they are twisted in M shape, the same way as smaller wings,pointing TO the insulation. Thats why the REAL Dupont crimpers have M shape teeths for smaller wings and, larger ROUNDED shape for insulation part. Your crimper is designed for JST and other connectors which insulation wings are even and "meet" each other after crimping.
