For anyone curious, the belt clips in the prequel movies were covertec wheels used for camera equipment originally I believe. You can get one with a screen accurate belt hanger for between $15-20. Also most saber part stores carry a WIDE variety of wheels that work with the belt hanger.

A good term for "small bits and pieces" are greeblies. On top of that if you look into the current custom lightsaber community people currently love building a full internal chassis for their electronics I've seen people put together so much detail it's insane and I've used a chassis building my own father an accurate ANH Obi-Wan hilt. Even having a crystal built into the chassis with an LED lighting up that crystal. This combined with a custom blade plug is what I used to make sure it could be completely accurate no matter how it was displayed. The price I spent for those supplies was about $500. Now for the blade. Yeah you want to a mirror on your trip BUT you need to make sure you use the right amount and type of diffusion film. I prefer using frosted cellophane because you can get more out of it with less. Another trick I do is I sand the entire blade to help further blend the light that goes through it and makes the tip not stand out so much. Just some advice for anyone who is interested in starting their own way down this rabbit hole.

“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal" - Matthew 6:19. This world and the things in it are temporary, spend your time doing something that will matter in the long run - start sharing the gospel of Jesus. The last 3000+ years of human history have been a testimony in favor of God's word. Contemplate how the Roman Empire fulfilled the role of the beast from the sea in Revelation 13. Revelation 17 confirms that it is in fact Rome. From this we can conclude that A) Jesus is the son of God and can tell the future or make it happen B) The world leaders/governments/nations etc have been conspiring together to accomplish this roadmap set in place by the Israelites or C) History as we know it is fake despite the archaeological evidence. You don't really need to speculate though because you can start a relationship with God and have proof. Call on the name of Jesus and pray for Him to intervene in your life - Revelation 3:20. The world is rapidly passing away and eventually you will have to stand before God on judgement day and explain to Him what you have done with your life. Make sure you are making every effort to help others while you can

It's my belief that one's faith is within them from the beginning so there is no "converting". At the same time what does any of this have to do with me having built something for my father to enjoy? Sounds to me that you want to belittle the relationship I have with the man who brought me into this lifetime and that my wife helped facilitate after my mother tried to sabotage it. If you are of the mind that your prophecy is more important than my bonds with my family and how I choose to honor them then you need to rethink your priorities. And for the record. I remember before TCSS and Padawan Outpost and the likes when people exlusively build their sabers from scrap, just like a real scavenger Jedi on the run from the Empire. Except back then they were glorified flashlights and the best we had were licensed replikas. Nowadays you can get LEDs in the blade once more, after a brief stint where the standard was still, but much brighter flashlight, and they're even brighter, with effects and in all colors, something we didn't think was possible because RGB LEDs were too dim. And then when you had to frost your own thickwalled blade tube. And now we're using finished neopixel. The jump is astonishing. And the Hacksmith even have real, honest to god lightsabers. What a time to be alive
@RSpudieD2 жыл бұрын
Awesome!! It looks really good and I like how it's actual metal and all found parts and pieces. The green is a nice touch and I don't think there's another green hilt lightsaber in Star Wars. Tis a fine sabre you have made. Greeblies and Nurnies are a vital part of the look and feel of a sabre, and yours has some great ones. Nice junk drawer sabre build. The only change I would make would be to use "fun foam" foam sheet to make a non-metallic grip. I have a pair of Chinese sabres headed for the Geeklair, and hopefully greebling it up will be uneventful. I would add a belt connector wheel, but unfortunately I have no idea where there would be a safe spot on the hilt to put it. So my non-working hilts will remain on my belt.

Hey, I found out a way to make an easy lightsaber. You can go to your local hardware store, like Home Depot. In the plumbing section, there will be pipes and screws and a lot more where you don't have to glue them together, you can just assemble it. For the blade on the other hand, you can buy them at a hardware store to, but it'll be expensive. But I found some cheap blades/clear pipes that you can buy. And for the light that comes out of the blade, just buy some LEDs.
@StillSaber2 жыл бұрын
That's what I did for my first Lightsaber, built it from a sink tube that I got from a Home Depot or Lowes and got the LED and Blade from the CustomSaberShop and the battery holder, resistors, and switches from Radio Shack before they closed up shop and for a time I figured how put in the toy saber soundboard into it, but now my newest sink tube saber is using a MUCH better soundboard that I got off of ebay, I think its the same soundboard that Saberforge uses the Sabercore soundboard.
