Hi DTEK, I assembled my speaker using your video. Mine was left with some "defects." My notes: 1) I used MDF (04:28), despite painting with a previous base, the finish was horrible. 2) I have had some reboots in the sound system, when there are somewhat high peaks (not too much), I tried to add resistances but completely overshadowed the sound. I removed them. 3) The battery charge indicator (03:18) does not work properly, it always shows all the blue bars and the red frame around it, whether or not they are fully charged. 4) I did put the sticky legs (08:28). 5) Sound with balanced bass and treble. 6) Passive radiators (00:22) do not have the movement seen in your video (08:49). What did I do wrong? 7) I have not established battery life, but I dare say no less than 8 hours at medium volume. 8) Use another amplifier board, apart from the bluetooth it has auxiliary input and throws 30w according to specifications. 9) I asked for 30W speakers but they sent me 20W :-( 10) To be more compliant, I'm going to move the components to a new pine wood box, I thought that maybe unpainted looks good, but changing the way of assembly the box in order to avoid seeing many "junctions". I have not got an LED equal to or similar to the one you have set (08:13). The LED that I have put on it is too bright, obviously I put a resistor to prevent it from burning. Thanks, I like its sound and more than agreeable. Also, I remembered some electronic bases.

Hello, i´m going to try to help: 1) I just sand it and aplly a few light coats of spray paint can, betwen coats i sand it a little bit after aplying a new coat, its important to do light coats for an smooth result, i didn´t sand the last 2 coats and the final coat i sprayed from a bigger distance to give a homogeneous look. 2)With this amplifier module i never had any problems even in max volume, maybe your lithium bateries are with a bad discharge power. 3)Maybe you choose the wrong indicator, in this case i´m using an 4s indicator because i´m using 4 lithium batteries. 4)After the video i put it too. 5)So you choosed a different amplifier, i choose this one because its a very ballanced amp but you have hundreds to choose, you said before that the amp starts reboot at high volume, that happens when its not receiving the amount of voltage/amps needed. 6)If the passive radiators are not moving could be that your case is not complety air tight and a minimum amount of air is excaping , press one of the radiators down, if the case is airtight you will see the speakers moving up and remain in the same position untill you take your finger, if you press and the speaker goes up and then start to go down is because you have an air leak, check also the polaratie of the speakers, if one of them is reversed wiring they are going to cancel the movement as one moves foward and the other backward at the same time. 10) about the led i have used the boards led with an clear piece of plastic to reflect the leds light, its hard to see 7:44 but that piece of plastic is right on the top of the led of the board.(can check this video kzbin.info/www/bejne/p6rLfGqPfc55r9E at the minute 16.28 you will see same "technic") Hope my comment helps ;)

Also, better to use veneer but if not, when u paint only halfass coat it then wait 20 min and lightly coat again. Much better to miss places on a single pass cause itll cover next coat.

Nice speaker, but you need some rubber feet/pads on the bottom to stop it from sliding! Plus, I'd also get that soldering iron/tip replaced (why such the angle?) and I'd also avoid those cheapo looking 18650 cells.

If you would know something about acoustic shortcut then you would not put passive radiator on the same side and nearby as loudspeaker. This is not good for bass.

The main frame is pine, I calculate thickness of 8 millimeters, right? For the covers, front and back, I think you can use MDF instead of tripay. I planned to use MDF for everything. I just have to find the right thickness, what do you think? I already have the parts, I'm only missing batteries, cables, paint and some other things.

Too much electronics crammed inside, no room for the drivers to do their job well. The frequencies they can reproduce must be pretty limited in the bass and it must lack decent high frequencies as well. And it sounds overall well ... crammed and muddy.
@DTeK
@DTeK 4 жыл бұрын
It sounds nice, i could have added some tweeters, but overall these speakers have a good frequency range, like all of my builds its the real sound from the speaker and not an mutted speaker editted in the video editor with a song added after :)
