This is so inspiring. Art can look like anything, I often feel like I can’t make art because I can’t make pretty realistic drawings and stuff like that, but it doesn’t have to be pretty, it doesn’t have to be realistic, it doesn’t even need to be super hard to make. It just needs to mean something to you.

nice! I really like that he explains that if he painted it directly it would be vandalism, but just posting messages on boards temporarily without damaging the pedestal makes it more temporary art.

TW I remember being a regular of this channel back in 2017 (corinne vs pin videos used to be my fav), grew older, totally forgot this phase of my life. Just today, I stumbled across a random video of youtubers who almost died and in those 1000+ comments someone was complaining how rob from threadbanger wasn't included. That name rang a bell. Watched your story time, catched up on different other videos and here I am. I just wanna say I'm so so glad that yall're still making videos. I feel at loss for words of affirmation of how tough it must've been for you both, and how strong you both are. I'm glad rob is alive and healthy now and I REALLY hope ya'll don't stop making videos. Asheville really is one of a kind because of people like him. Went to Asheville for the first after taking my sister to meet a Sloth for her graduation present and stopped by Asheville. Completely different from most other places in North Carolina! Plus the mountains are always so beautiful to see up close (I live at the base of them and can only see them from a distance most days)

I think there might be another person who does them in East Asheville - they’re smaller and have a different visual feel but also positive messages. Heading East on Swannanoa Rd there’s one that says “you’re on the right path” and it always makes me smile

Visited Asheville for the first time last weekend and while shopping for art downtown, I saw some of these pieces on Biltmore Ave! I instantly got so happy. Absolutely adored Asheville and the mountains. So much good food, so much good art, and I truly felt more grounded. I’m from rural Indiana and while we’ve got woods and wildlife and nature, Asheville was very cleansing. Edited to add that I got happy because I instantly remembered watching this video when it came out. I’ve been a Threadbanger fan for years! What a guy. Just passing on the love.
