Magic 8 balls use a 20 sided dice not a triangle. There are 20 possible answers in a magic 8 ball.

Exactly. They are called icosahedrons. Tips for anyone trying this: The air bubbles are also easy to avoid. Submerge the sphere under distilled water until bubbles ease out (use a syringe to remove air if you have to). For better looking black: Stick a circle label on as a paint mask and rattle-can epoxy black, or dip. A couple simple adjustments could have this look much more polished. Great project idea, though!

camera is great. voice over is wonderful. but the actual day could have been better. maybe use a foam dice and use a lable maker for the answers, and maybe instead of painting you could stretch a black balloon over the ornament and cut a little hole for the opening? just a suggestion
