As a CD collector, this is a very helpful video when you want to have physical copies of songs that haven't been officially released. One more question if you don't mind. What kind of printers do you use for that glossy paper, ink jets, or laser? Thanks

Oh my God!! Dude, I've been working on a mix CD for the first anniversary with me and my girlfriend and your video is freaking awesome! I wish I had the time to redo what I've done already and use this guide. Instead, I used the back cover of another CD that had a white background and handwrote the tracklist and just used a photo for the front. The cover was too small, so I had to use scraps to fill in the blank spots 😢. Next time will be way better. You rock!
@ACrafterinTraining Жыл бұрын
I mean, it sounds way cooler that way if you ask me! Actually, that way is how I started doing diy musical packaging. I got an old digipak to make my friend a mixtape, I collaged clippings on magazines on top of the existing case. Eventually I reverse engineer everything and that's how I got to where I am today. So, keep up the good work!

If you haven't yet, maybe you could put up a tutorial on how to transfer artwork from digipak/cardsleeve packed CDs to jewel cases. I scanned the back covers of some of those card sleeve CDs in my collection but am not too good at photo editing, though I have been using GIMP recently but nowhere near good with it yet.

I have a dilemma, in your template you can only print one cover at a time. Why cant the space be used to print more than one on the same sheet? I know that would change the dimensions of your specific template but why isn't it possible to have an A4 template with the label designs set to the real dimensions?..... I'm so confused please someone tell me why this is wrong bcos I know it must be but I just can't see how :"") everywhere i look uses the same dimension template as he does with only one label per sheet
@ACrafterinTraining Жыл бұрын
The reason why you can only print one cover at the time, is because for this type of projects you need specific measurement and if you try to fit more into one single sheet, you run the risk of not getting it right. Of course you can try and fit as much as you can on a single sheet of paper, but you run the risk of not getting the project correct.

@daddygarcia85762 ай бұрын
When it comes to cds all the code for the music is on the bottom of the disc. As long as there is nothing disrupting the laser that is used to read the code the cd will still play with no problems. That’s why cds that scratched don’t play because the laser can’t properly read the cd.

just a quick question how do I get something to print on both the back and front side of the paper, as to be able to have artwork on every single side
@ACrafterinTraining Жыл бұрын
to be honest, it depends on your printer. Some printers have the ability to do it manually, you'd just need to press the option to print on both sides. However, certain printers don't have that feature, so you'd have to manually adjust each page.

The CD’s keep falling out of the sleeves. So My question is : How can I make both the Front Album Cover using the Original Album cover, side, and Back Cover where the songs are listed so I can then install that into a Jewel Case???

@@ACrafterinTraining well...
