I know that this is not exactly a new video. But, you can also use a harbor freight router rpm controller; to give you adjustability in the airflow. It would also extend the life of that motor, as it wouldn’t have to go full bore.

I didnt even use refractory. I got lazy and loaded it up with dirt around the forge pot and filled in then entire thing. Dirt has stayed pretty level.

@@SteveMoitozo2 thanks for the vid, the dirt has made for a good coal table, as well as a good normalizing rest for hot steel. And if it gets iffy, I just grab more dirt from the woods
