Love it! Can you show how to slide/take out the garbage bins? There is a coaster wheel but I’ not sure how you would open one of the sides as a ‘gate/door’? Very very nice!!!!

Just like I showed here kzbin.info/www/bejne/qZLVkqCCabtjf9k (3:13). I never locked them though because the trash bin location is slightly lower. So it kinds of sinks and stays still. I just moved the screen as I showed above, only once per week when I need to take out bins for trash pickup trucks. It has been working out great for me.

What does the other side of this panel look like - on the one side you have a coaster at 3:13 - on the other side do you have a hinge? I’m not sure how this works?
@babochon3 жыл бұрын
No hinge. Just fixed the screen using the corner brackets - so they look like the "L" shape. I used 4 locking caster wheels, but you need to pull out the screen to get the bin out.

looks nice - what are the dimnesions?

It really depends on your trash can sizes. I came up with the following: 80 x 42 x 50. Probably as you guessed it, the overall size should be a little bigger than the actual trash can because you want them to be hidden!

Where did you purchase such long 1x2s? Lowes only has 8 feet lengths.

I got them from Menards.

Thanks. I live in Texas and the nearest Menards is in another state. SPRINGFIELD, MO / Thanks anyway!

I am sure HomeDepot also carries. It is a little more pricy there.

how did you secure the post into the ground?

I couldn’t follow the question. What do you mean by “securing the post into the ground”? I didn’t. They need to be all movable.

I'm confused. Is this 2 or 3 sided? How do the casters actually work? Is there a hinge for a "door" to open, or do the casters just move the entire screen. I wish there was a wide angle look at the entire project... or a slow walk around the project to get a better idea of how this works. The opening shots go very fast and I can't see the wheels. Otherwise, it is beautiful and you've done a great job.

It is two sided. As you can see from the thumbnail picture, I didn't have to build the third side because of the bush. And there is no hinge. The "L" shaped screen was designed and locked using the corner brackets. The locking caster wheels help you pull out the screen when you have to take out the bins. Let me see if I can get the video on Instagram. Please stay tuned.

How much roughly did the wood cost you?
@babochon3 жыл бұрын
I used twenty 1x2x8 panel (each panel cost about $1.50) and four 2x2x8 panel (each panel cost about $2.00) at Menards. It was about $45. But this was right before wood price soared up.

The project is nice, but this wood stain technique will NOT help win the All Valley Karate Championship.
