I used Stonecoat countertop epoxy on my kitchen counters 3 years ago. I recently bought a camper and was wondering if I could do this in the bathroom, and was trying to think of a way to make it lightweight. So glad I came across this video!!

I love your build. I just bought my ambulance after watching KZbin videos for quite awhile. My plans include a murphy bed, mini split, recirculating shower, a river table and - stone coat countertops! I thought I would be the first person to use it in a build. You beat me to it. Even my color scheme is the same as yours. My favorite color is green so I am going to work it in to my decorating scheme. I have picked up a lot from watching your channel. Electric magnets - genius. So, if I post videos of my build, just know I didn't rip you off. More like great minds think alike!

This is exactly what I want to do with the shower I built for my winnebago and stonecoatcountertops advised it not be used in a motorhome or rv due to concerns of flex and vibration causing delamination... have you experienced this since installation?

I'm wondering if I can use the appliances spray epoxy for this project? I don't need to do the marble effect, plain white will work perfect for me. Beautiful job and just what I'm needing in our RV! Amazing work.

The difference between Rustoleum Spray Epoxy and real two part epoxy like used here is substantial. Fundamentally, anything that protects the foam from abrasion and sunlight should work for a while. The foam itself is waterproof. So yes, you could probably paint it with exterior house paint too if you wanted the absolute bare essential solution. But it won't look anywhere near a nice and smooth and durable as this type of epoxy.

I really like your shower design , I was curious to why the pass thru door leading to the cab area is very short to were you'd have to bend over to walk through or crawl through ? Also were'd you get the shower pan? Thanks

If you look at the vehicle from the outside, the "box" that you stand up in is 6' tall. The cab, which is where the shower pass through door leads to is only 3- 4' tall, or like the inside of a car. You have to scrunch down like the way a paramedic would have to crouch down to get from the passenger seat to the rear standing box. Really nice job, I'm putting a shower in my volvo semi .question will the expoxy adhere to one of the water proof foam backer boards on the market now, goboard,usg, kerdi etc?

XPS foam. Extruded Polystyrene. Trade names include Foamular (pink) and Styrofoam (blue) - you don't want to use the white stuff.
