I have a question. Is the floor slippery when wet? You did an amazing job. I am in the middle of remodeling a garage into a shop and something like that would really look good with the butcher block work benches. I live in South Mississippi so 85%+ humidity is almost year round. I guess I could put sand in with the clear coat but that would take away from the finish maybe. Any advise?
@boboyamamoto5 ай бұрын
It would look gritty and uneven, that's why they sell specific floor finishes for garages that come with flakes and you sprinkle them on after (while it's still wet). Now you can do this exact to a garage but will need to put more coats of primer just to build up the thickness as well as give it a few layers of clear coat. This finish is extremely slippery when wet so either use sand/flakes to coat the floor slightly or buy rubber matts/garage rugs to help you out with not slipping. Any rocks and or dirt that you do bring in though can and will imprint the floor because it's not a completely hard surface. It's not like finished concrete where you can tint the concrete and stamp it as well. Ask the concrete guys if there is any product that suits your need the best, usually they have access to products that may not be available to us consumers or is more of a "special order" sort of thing. Epoxy is nice but its not forever and more so in garages
