On a budget? Build a microphone pop-filter out of old socks and a food container!
What Is It For? Pop filters are necessary for anything voice related. It helps with sounds such as 'P' and 'B'; This is called plosives. Plosives is extra air going onto the microphone causing a very annoying heavy breath/bass sound. I use this project for narrating most of my project tutorials. It really helps a lot in making your audio records cleaner! I use it it making music covers, in twitch streaming and in my projects.

I made one with my old tights, yogurt container, and a flimsy coat hanger instead of the chicken wire. Thanks for the inspiration!

Woa woa, sure we want this project to look professional - but using a real chicken is going a bit too far, no-one can afford that level of professionalism.

You can also use 3-4 medium size mice. Why waste a good chicken when you have to catch the mice anyway?

I just built one of these, and it works great! In these times of corona, its not so easy to order on Amazon. Everything is sold out, and when you can order something, it takes 10 days to arrive. This video was a godsend. Thanks!

I can't buy a pop filter because the shipping to the Philippines is too expensive, so I have to DIY my own. When I bought my microphone (cheap shipping 'cause it's chinese), it came with a foam pop filter but recently it broke (3 months or so), and I was glad that I had the pop filter that I DIY'ed like this

Thank you so much for sharing this video, I've been wanting one of these mics for months now because I wanted to record my singing and all that stuff. But I already knew that it was expensive stuff and i really didnt want anyone from my family to know i was getting those things cause I just don't like singing when some one is around, so I found this video and it is really helpful! It's made with things that I already have at home, so again thank you so very much!!!

I used pringles cover then double sided tapes & unused selfie stick then a tying wire from a newly unbox charger cable then used the stockings. It really improved the sound quality of my Røde Video Micro ❤️🎙️🎤🎚️🎛️ Your idea is a bit better dough. 😊😅
