This is great for people who have thin hair to manipulate the look and give it a fuller look.

I have to agree. I combed out my traditional locs one year ago and been wanting micro locs! However it seemed like everyone else I came across putting on the pressure about precision and etc. you just helped me breathe!!

Glad I found this video! I’ve been hesitating on starting my own micro locs bc I’ve been most concerned with a grid! But seeing this is helped! I’ve been braiding my own hair for about 15 years now and I figure do can start my own locs myself and save me $1000s of dollars!

Great advice! I wish your video would have popped up in my feed before starting because I redid my hair so many times, cause I hated the grid and how spacey and thin my hair ended up looking. Funny thing is I decided to say bump it and ended up do the same thing you did.

When I started my microlocs I also did free parting. It’s been almost 4 years and I don’t regret it. Straight parts are great but they weren’t a big deal to me.

Hi, they aren’t the same size at all. That would have driven me crazy if I tried to do that.

It's been a while since you made this video. But thank you! I've been researching grids and how to start my microlocs. Quite honestly, I was beginning to stress over the grid sizes and pristine parting. These tips are so helpful!
