DIY MINI Salt & Pepper Mills / Grinders ~Dollhouse Miniatures

MATERIALS LISTED BELOW:
One Too Many!??! These Salt and Pepper Mills / Grinders / Shakers are Easy to Make. Just a Lot Beads and Glue (and Some Patience) 😊 I Used Clear Heat Shrink Tubing and Plastic Straw for A Couple of Them but You Can Use Any Tubing You Have.
Once I made one Pair, I Just Couldn't Stop. Not Sure My Dollhouse Needs That Many.
Materials:
Wooden / Plastic Beads
Metal Spacer Beads Gold and Silver
Clear Glass Cube Beads
Bullet Clutch Earring Backs
Head Pins
Seed Beads
Heat Shrink Tubing
Plastic Straw
Aleene's Fast Grab Tacky Glue
Acrylic Paint
Paper (Just to Fill in Some of The Bead Gaps)
Ranger Glossy Accents Clear Dimensional Medium (to Give the Heat Shrink Tubing a Glossy finish)
Fine Sand (To Make Salt and Pepper)
Mod Podge Matte and Gloss Sealers
Posca Pen Blue

I Had Questions as Why I didn't Use Real Salt and Pepper. I Did Try Them But I Just Didn't Like the Look or Consistency of Them (I tried to Grind Them, Use Salt as it Was etc.) but You Can Use Real Salt / Pepper Or What Ever Material that Works for You 😊💕💕

You could try popcorn salt for the “salt” part. It is really extra fine. I think the colored sand worked just fine for the “pepper”.

You could mortar and pestle the salt fine enough, but ground black pepper had lighter bits inside. You need two tones.

Oh my lordy! These are just so CUTE! My favourite of the larger sets is the faux blue and white ceramic ones. And then I love the two teeny tiny shaker sets in all silver and the ones with clear bottoms. Were they stud earring backs by the way? Love this video ❤

I did try them but I didn't like the consistency or the look so I decided to fake it (I did grind them, try salt as it was etc). 😄 But you can definitely use real salt and pepper if you want. What ever works best for you💕💕
