I didn't get your name in this video but, I really want to thank you for the information. I can't wait to try this in my home. Two questions: Did you need to caulk at the base of the MDF and the wall? Also, did you put up art on your accent wall?

That looks awesome! Can you tell how big the room is approximately? I would really like do try this in my living room (also with green paint) and I‘m afraid the room is too small so it will look kind of constricting

Great video! Question: what was actual dimension of mdf? 5/8 x 1 1/2 or 1 x 2? Pic in video says one thing, supply list says another. Thanks!
@mirandafoxporter2476 Жыл бұрын
This same MDF is now over $6 a piece (also in Ontario Canada like the girl in this video) - I ended up using framing lumber at under $3 each and filled in imperfections (knots etc.) with wood filler/sanded them all down (it takes more prep/effort but it will save you over $70)
@TimberTea Жыл бұрын
yeah I recently made some doors using similar MDF strips and I couldnt believe the price increase! they did have wider stripes that were basically the same price tho that I ended up just cutting in half...saved some money that way!

Wow looks great! I have a textured wall and am debating skim coating it first. Would you suggest smoothing out the wall first or just putting the boards right over the texture? Thanks!
@jessicagraves29032 жыл бұрын
I debated this myself and ended up skim coating our wall and I think it will look more seamless. Our wall is about 111 sq ft and we were quote $3.50/ sq ft. We ended up doing it overselves over 3 nights. It is a lot of work, but not too complex after watching a few KZbin videos.
