Hello Doti Great TV unit. I just want to remind you not to let MDF dust get into your lungs it is full of resin and Glue make sure you hoover it up don,t sweep it .

Why not to use flash trim bit instead of hand planer? Is that 18 mm mdf wood

DIY doesn't really mean having tools...it means doing anything by yourself without having to purchase it with minimal or lots of tools..otherwise you can't DIY without tools
