I’m watching your video for the third time in the past two days. I’ve built many doghouses over the years, though I am not a professional. I’m actually in the process of building an extension to a catio. I have always made the roof my own way, and they have worked. However, I wanted ideas on how to do it the right way for a bigger structure. The catio is 8x 8. The older on is 8x 10. The roof on that one was pretty flat and puddles of rain usually stay on it until the sun dries them up. Thanks for your help. 🙂

I don’t know why you’d paint cedar especially where the dog stands and lays but overall not bad. I appreciate your thought for shade, Oscar, your Aussie is a big size version of my mini. They look nearly identical, he’s a sweetie I can tell! What I really wish is someone would create a natural looking dog playground, our Aussies need height and challenges to keep them engaged and happy, if you need a challenge try building a dog pool or if live to see a natural pond OR like I said a natural material playground with height variation and room to explore
