the author does like to from scratch, shaping and trimming wood from large blocks into fine finished products. kzbin.infoUgkxD-QRFQz730FJEh4f9BYSf-nkIMIC9hL_ as another reviewer mentioned, most projects require a lot of high-dollar equipment that most of us dont have the room or budget for. But, knowing how to do these things, even if we wont be able to practice the full stack project, is still great.

As a beginning woodworker, I was able to easily follow your design and modify it into a chair (I have made 2 benches in the last week... time for a chair!!). I had some leftover 2x6 redwood pieces that I used for the backboards. I opted for wood glue instead of screws... now I just need it to dry so I can start lounging!

Just finished making this. Saw this video about a month ago and wanted to make it. I added a 3rd back support near the seating area. And I ended up using valspars stain and sealer on all pieces, after sanding them. The color of the stain sealer is a light gray with a slight blue tone. Wish I could post a pic of it, to show. But it turned out great and my girl loves it. I'm planning on making matching chairs and a bench swing to go with it. Thanks for the video.

Nice looking sofa. When I use 2x4 or 6 or 8. I like to shave the edges with a table saw. It’s an extra step but it really improves the overall appearance and makes it look less “homedepot wood”

lounging :) Really liked it, will try it out and share the pics with you later! I'm thinking of extending one of the sides, making it an "L" shape, but keeping with the same design. That means that the extra couch would have the same leaning backrest, but the opposite one would be cut short so it fits with the longer part. What do you think?

I love this design any chance you will be making matching chairs and a coffee table? A full setup.
@CB71SS4 жыл бұрын
I think to make a matching chair all you would have to do is narrow the sofa width by half or what ever width you prefer the chair to be. Keep the same depth as the seat and height as the are rest. The table would be something like the sofa seat, interesting idea.
@CB71SS4 жыл бұрын
That's supposed to say armrest not are rest, my bad.
@chrystald.4 жыл бұрын
Charlie Brown I agree 👍 that would work.
@CB71SS4 жыл бұрын
@@chrystald. Thought about the table, the legs could be at the same angle and the top could be like the sofa but put a piece of glass on top to show off the 2 X 4 base. How bout that. You might be able to make end tables the same height at the arm rest and being angled they would snug up close to the sofa. A complete living room suite. :>)
