hello, I discovered your channel a short time ago, and your creations interest me but I don't know LEDs like the WS2812B and I have questions. do you know how many LEDs Arduino is able to drive? can we connect several strips of LEDs in parallel on the same pin of the Arduino ? because in my project I have to drive 480 LEDs but as the colors are repeated, if I can connect several strips of LEDs, the Arduino will just have to drive 240 LEDs. thank you for your work. Okay very good In the future i want my own buikd taillight and headlight With that audi style welcome light show and after that Drl front and back Also keep the park light function And turnsignal dynamic And when uses turnsig. The drl on that side need to be dimming Also want to build a crazy bright 3e brakelight with in corperated also turnsignal (alternate with the one in taillight both dynamic) And when brakes are not aplied than 5 sections of light turn on ( truck toplight idea) At front want the drl also welcome show light and dimming when use turnsignal All drl's must dim atliest 40% when using turnsignals and when driving lights are turned on So its a lot but i thinks this should be posible with you're equipment

Since there is very limited time we light up the full strip in white, for 144LEDs 3-4A is more than enough. Try to find a good quality power supply.

@eross21 it basically divides the input 12V voltage signals into two parts and feed only ~5V to arduino pins as 5V is the maximum the Arduino input pins can handle. So it is like 12V to 5V voltage converter. And also the resistors make sure that Arduino won’t pickup noice when there are no inputs given by grounding the pins.

Then you have to power the system with direct battery power not ACC.

This will drain the car battery if the car is not being used as the circuits will stay on. Does the code allow for arduino to "sleep"

Usually the light is powered by the ACC power line. That means power comes to the system with one key click. So no battery drain when vehicle is turned off. And the standby power drain is around 10mA. Which is negligible considering the vehicle battery capacity.
