Really well done. Looks like your house is the spot everyone goes to every Halloween

All I can note is that You may need extra hands with "Set Decor" from being so busy with the whole engineering process. Your work deserves full immersion.

I totally agree! Stay tuned for part 3 of this years Project: Oasis attraction, fit with full immersive queue and lighting !

Seriously doc everything please!! This is incredible. I checked out the other videos.. I subscribed. I've seen dark rides and simple step motors on tracks with proxy sensors in the diy realms but this is on another level of impressive for something at home. I work with Theme park techs in FL and I'm definitely showing them this channel. Phenomenal!

So sweet! What controls everything?
@calrustad57462 жыл бұрын
It is a custom made ride controller, utilizing a combination of arduino hardware and software running on a laptop handling the AV side of things. Email me for details cal@rustadpublishing.com!

@@calrustad5746 cool, thanks! I figured it was probably arduino based. I've conceived a similar project using an industrial logic controller (plc) and a raspberry pi running FPP

@@calrustad5746 did you make the animation yourself?
@calrustad57462 жыл бұрын
@@fieldfilmz the film was made by Yessian and Pixomondo for a now defunct theme park in China, (Yessian ended up posting the ride video as portfolio work) I scrapped all of the audio and wrote my own script, did all sound effects work, and added in all of the music. You can find more about the source material here! www.yessian.com/experiential?play=star-journey

question is, was the on ride film found online or custom
@calrustad5746 Жыл бұрын
The actual visuals weren’t animated by me… the script, vocal recording, sfx, and audio was all done in house and the visuals were stitched to match our custom story ;) for more info email me cal@rustadpublishing.com

Amazing! How much was the cost to build?
@calrustad5746 Жыл бұрын
We had a lot of the electronics required already, (along with some of the building materials) but my best estimate is a few thousand.

This was spectacular! Wonderful job! How big was the air tank that you used?
@calrustad5746 Жыл бұрын
6 Gallons for the launch, 10 gallons for the motion platform.

Awesome work! I have a similar (smaller scale) simulator project in the works with a single rider using an arcade game motion base. How much travel did each airbag give?
@calrustad57462 жыл бұрын
If I remember correctly around 9 inches, the whole platform could tilt 19 degrees forward and backward and roll 10 degrees left and right!
