I really like your setup all your mods are very clean. I am curious about having a bow motor instead of a stern mount. Do you prefer to use the motor to hold a position to fish? I have a new pedal kayak and was going to put a motor on the back to get to the place I want to fish and then use the pedal power but now you got me thinking. Thanks for posting this video.

Thank you! I use the anchor mode constantly, specially dealing with wind and waves, it keeps you right on the spot, when you hook up and doing a measurement your not floating far far away from your spot. Also I use the GPS to run the shoreline so I can just keep casting without constantly fighting the steering in rough conditions. My opinion it's Awesome!

Thank you! I purchased a live scope mounting bracket off Amazon and just added an eye bolt to it. (0 degree Livescope Pole Mount kit)

I ran it sat. for an hour full out to make it to my spot @ 4.3 mph fully loaded.

how do you like your xi3 motor? any spot lock issues like many other users reported?

with Motorguide having the only motor that style with gps...that I know of ... I like it and the spot lock works fine for me with no issues yet after 1 season.

Can you pedal when the xi3 is NOT deployed?

Yes I have full use of my pedal's when xi3 is pulled in, only way I could do it was to make my own mounting plate and turn xi3 just enough so they don't touch.
