DIY Moxon 10, 11, 12m KIT+ READY by DL1DN

First of all:
All pre-ordered antennas will be shipped end of this week.
Sorry for bad audio, my external mic was not playing.
Here you can see the 10, 11 and 12m Moxon.
It is designed for 10m but on 11m and 12m you can use this antenna without a tuner.
A kit is 99€, ready to use is 119€
shipping DL 7.95€, EU 17€, World 22€
If you want to build it from scratch use a sheet of playwood or metal as groundplate.
If you buy a kit or a ready version you must buy 4pcs of 2m, 20mm diameter PVC pipes.

11m of 0.5mm² wire
1.1m coax
PL socket
some clmaps or cableties
rope as insulator/spacer
pvc tubes or fishing rods
measurements:
2.42m each driven elements (2x)
5.48m reflector
0.09m spacer
After 1.85m a plug for the tubes (vom center)

I've had David's 10 Moxon for a couple of weeks and man, does this thing work. It's very compact, set up is about 5min, light weight and everything feels really solid while keeping the weight down. Quality parts being used. Two days ago I demonstrated this antenna for a friend who has a multi-band vertical from Comet (i think that was the brand) I'm in Mesa, AZ and I worked Italy, Germany, two Spain stations and the Czech Republic, all with 55 of better reports and comments like "very strong signal", 100watts on a 17ft MFJ push up mast. We flipped his antenna switch between the Comet and the Moxon and the Comet couldn't hear 50% of what the Moxon could hear. It was SIGNIFICANT... The video quality and audio could be better but don't let that dissuade you from his antenna. The thing WORKS GREAT! Rob - AK7RM

Toller Ansatz! Das mittelstück sieht toll aus, vorallem die Befestigung in der Mitte für den GFK Mastern ist sehr gut. Verwende selber schon seit vielen Jahren eine Moxon für Prortabel Betrieb. Allerdings ist für mich wichtig das ein Aufbau ohne Werkzeug funktionieren muss. Für die Ausleger verwende ich günstige Stippruten. Als Halterung (mittelstück) verwende ich 2x 15mm 50cm alu rohre wo man dann die Stippruten einfach rauf stecken kann. Eine kombination aus deinem Mittelstück und den alu rohr wäre sicher eine überlegung wert.

Hello, it is a nice light moxon! I would be interested in it, if you can add also 6m and/or 15m band. Adding 15m band would require longer pipes, however adding 6m band would require only additional wires.

Yes 6m is possible but it will influence the 10m version. Feel free to test or add. 15m will need longer pipes but PVC pipes are not stable enough.

It's directional, it's really a 2 element Yagi. Point the coax feed point in the direction you are transmitting to.

I had the same question, just got the response. David said he has tested it up to 700watts (.7KW) but I wouldn’t put that much through it myself without solid testing at that power. That’s just me... :-)

Aktuell bin ich auf 11m QRP, jedoch evtl bald mehr, (#Klasse N) Gerne bestelle ich die Antenne, hab aber keinen Link oder ähnliches gefunden. Yes next time with new microphone. 28500 is 1.3 at 54Ohm 24900 is 2.0 at 73 Ohm but it works
