Let me tell you what I did when I soaked off my Apres nails. I used my e-file to file them down as thin as I could and then soaked them off. So much faster. Same thing happened to me the first time that I tried to soak them off. It was a mess and it took so much longer than acrylic. lol.

Would you try a thinner gel polish? There is a brand, Monie Pressed, which is a thin gel, but has an amazingly rich color. The gel isn’t runny either. The top coat gives off a great long lasting shine, too!

Would the kind of drill depend on how well bits work? I feel like I can never get the ball but yo remove cuticle like you do. It drives me nuts. I always have to nip. I have an $80 Airsee drill from Amazon 🥺

Try increasing the speed on your e file. The Kiara Sky e file is really strong so I use it on a lower speed from my experience working with more inexpensive e files the strength of them are usually lower so that may be your issue. Hope that helps.
