Thankyou so much! I have just tried it and it worked beautifully. I went to the hairdresser on Thursday and asked for ash blonde, which I have had before. I ended up with bright white hair. Went back on Saturday and asked for a few darker foils to tone it down and ended up with dirty looking dark hair. Enter KZbin! The ash blonde has come back through and the darker foils are now way lighter. I can now hold my head up high tomorrow at work!! Thankyou!

I am born in a coastal city so my hair in my childhood was almost white. I moved to more terrestrial area and I started noticing how dark it got, like wet sand. Sun and salt water helps naturally lighten the hair. I don't know if it works for darker natural hair but for darker blondes it does. Also, I used to wear my hair in a ponytail or in a bun so that the roots would get some sunlight too.

I have tried 3 diff ways to remove color. I found the biggest diff was adding some baking soda and vinegar. The suds turned brown getting out some black hair dye. Vit C, lil clarifying, baking soda, vinegar, oh and a lil dawn lol. I was tired of messing around and wanted results. I didnt try the dandruff shampoo till next round. That was vit c, head and shoulders, drop of clarifying. Wasnt impressed with last one I just mentioned. Def adding the baking soda vinegar next time again

After this happened I had it corrected to a darker brown by a professional, but now I honestly just want my natural hair colour back. I'm currently sitting with vitamin C and dandruff shampoo in my hair... I really hope this helps.

Have you ever found vitamin C to leave an orange stain in your hair? I used a bleach free dye remover that's main ingredient was ascorbic acid, and my hair went from mostly yellow, to orange. I dyed my hair with a level 8 ash violet, and it went too dark so I took it out with Color Oops, then three sessions of vitamin C, and after the bulk of the dye came out, each successive vitamin C application seems to be making my hair more orange. Then I used John Frieda lightening spray on it to take out the orange, and I goofed and burned my hair pink and copper with the blow dryer! I'm starting to think though that after all the dye was removed, the vitamin C commenced staining my hair cortex, the way vitamin C serum stains skin after it has oxidized. Can't find any info on this though, except one brief mention that vit C serum can stain hair and clothes.

Girl you look GREAT! I would've never guessed your age right...you look to be abou 35ish. Here I am getting ready to turn 40 and wish I looked as good as you! Just an FYI on this doesn't work very well on hair that's been dyed the same color for a long time. Especially dark boxed dye. I have been dying my hair dark Auburn for about 6 years. I have been trying to let it fade and not dye anymore because I really want a golden brown color! Anyway it has faded a good bit but I tried this method last night and left on for 45 minutes. I could see a very subtle change but nothing big and no one would notice. Did it again and still not much at all....so I'm guessing this is just for if you've just dyed your hair and just don't like the color. I was really hoping this would work 😔 Really don't want to bleach it.....so now I'm going to be trying something else, not sure what though. Ugh I swear as soon as I get rid of this color I'll NEVER EVER GO BACK! Its just to hard to get out... if anyone has any suggestions at all I'm all ears.

A part of what removes the color is the scrubbing you do with the product applied. So theoretically it maaaaay, but I really doubt it because you will not get good results without friction, and if you’re just laying it down for a highlight it probably won’t lift much. What I recommend is to make a bleach bath and apply that to your hair in the areas you want to lighten. A bleach bath is just equal parts powder bleach to developer, I recommend 20 vol. then you take the mixture and add shampoo, about a 1:1:1 of all that and let it sit until you’re happy with the color.

I'm confused. If this process is for removing artificial hair colors and dyes, and your natural color is dark brown, why did it come out a dark blonde, gold color????
@Theportergirls5 жыл бұрын
She had previously bleached it. Bleaching takes away from your hair so your natural color is gone from that which was dyed. If you add a darker color on top of your bleached hair, then take away the color it'll go back to the original bleached tone, not the natural color (since that color is forever gone).

@@Theportergirls omg Beautifully explained Thankyoy soo much for explaining it so clearly I wss confuses, as my natural hair colour is black, coz m indian, so i had applied a cramel Brown colour (box dye) last month, i was hating the ugly feeling it left on my hair strands, i dyed my hair for the first time in my life, and felt terrible, it left my hair like straw, so wat i did was, mixed vitamin c powder with head &shoulder shampoo n left it for 40 mins, aft rinsing i did feel my hair was feeling better in texture, and it has removed 60% of the colour, but holyyy shitt it turned my hair into a ginger head 😭 Not 100% ginger, but maybe 30% but m hating this ginger colour soo much, now m planning to repeat the vitamin c powder process, to strip off all the Browm dye, I just wanna go bak to my natural hair colour 😭 Ive nvr bleached my hair b4 So m hopeing that by repeating this process i will get bak to mu original hair colour , 🤞

Henna is VERY hard to remove, even for beauticians. A fruit based stripper is best (that's what my hair stylist told me) because i once put an auburn henna on my hair. I hated how blotchy and uneven it was so I used mineral oil to remove it. That only really works if you do it right away. However, I found out a year later when I tried to strip and bleach my hair, that where the henna was didn't bleach, but above it did. The bottom part of my hair was orange and the top white. It cost so much money and about 6 hours at the salon having her remove the henna in order to bleach it and then because it was SO WHITE from all the processing, she put lowlights in it to give it depth and it looked nice. But boy was my hair damaged. I had to put oils on it and braid it every day for months to condition it enough for the natural curl to come back as well. So my advice is never use henna. It binds to the outside of the hairs, unlike dye, and it clings for life onto your hair.
