Works ! I used the formula but with a high quality shampoo and a little fresh lemon juice. I added a natural oil blend directly to my head to protect my scalp as I just went through a severe hair loss related to illness. This is pretty tingly feeling so I got nervous and rinsed in five minutes. Lifted quite a bit quickly. It’s definitely not where I want it level wise but I’ll take it slow since my hair is so f’d currently. The dark semi permanent dye I used recently took to and stuck to my lengths SO much darker than I wanted. And this helped better than the baking soda / developer / conditioner concoction I saw on KZbin. IF YOU have scalp concerns ... fragile hair, proceed with caution.

I’ve done this before way back ( I’m a hairstylist and just wanted to see how well it worked ) and it does a good job to lighten a shade or so. I definitely mixed way less vitamin c in the ratio. Then did shampoo and water with it. Seemed to go through the hair better. May be less irritating on your skin as well if you use less vit c.

Dear Lisa, I love the fact that you are a DYI person and love trying new tricks all the time, that is really motivating, and also the fact that you always stay humble no matter what....you show people that we do not need to break the bank to keep our hair healthy, especially now a days when we see new launches of new brands every week, organic, vegan, indie, and what so ever....I have learned through the years and you should read about the so-called Hair Chronogram which is a kind of planner to keep your hair looking good, and the basics are Reconstruction, Nutrition & Hydration...which means in short terms every week you can plan a day to reconstruct with products that do that, another week nutrition with a nutritive mask and then Hydrate...there are millions of products out there that help do these 3 steps, from Wella, to Loreal to Redken, Kerastase and even cheap as chills products.....the secret is to treat the hair to these 3 focuses! hugs for you dear!

well, it is true that it may not work for people. as a stylist myself, i’ve had a client request this process and after 4 hours, her hair didn’t budge. sometimes the hair cuticle just doesn’t open so the color is trapped. that’s ideal for most people, unless you want it out, haha.

Hairstylist here ! never use permanent hair dye on your hair unless it’s just gray coverage at root if you throw it on your end it opens up the cuticle and it dries out the hair so color won’t last as long because I cuticles wide open now in damage like breakage happens and it doesn’t leave a shine because permanent colors are basically Matte as much as a gloss does so you might wanna look into getting shades EQ gloss (toner of your choice maybe 8/7 n & 7V) to get rid of warmth that you have with processing solution in clear and ask your hairstylist about that because that’s a demo and it will leave a glass it’s literally called the gloss and it won’t destroy your hair and it’s not like damage by color in your hair causes it’s closing the cuticle shaft

When you tone your hair, add water or conditioner to the left over color to dilute it. You are using permanent color to tone...it will deposit each time which is why it looks dark and dull. A liquid demi color would tone but not deposit those permanent color molecules. The mid shift and ends suck up color, minerals from hard water.
@TracyD23 жыл бұрын
Can I ask you something? Can you change a permanent into a demi buy adding conditioner? I have a permanent color I want to use but more as a toner. I was wondering if I mix with 10v and some conditioner would it would be similar to a toner. I know I should just buy a toner but it’s a dark brown with icy cool violet. Why would it matter to the DMV if you hair looked blonde? It's not like we have to get a new license each time we color or cut our hair? What matters is your face, no? I often wonder if they ever thought about how makeup can change a person. You could have your picture taken with long, blonde hair and a boatload of makeup, and the next day go brunette, pixie short and makeup free... picture wouldn't match, lol! Maybe get a nose job or a facelift! How about a guy who shaves off his hair and beard? Here in Canada, you're not even allowed to smile on your photo.

Well, maybe, but so am I and so is everybody else, whether they admit it or not. Where does this holier than thou mentality that we must (pretend to) embrace the decay of our bodies come from? Getting old is great when it comes to wisdom and experience, but when it comes to our health and looks, sorry, there's nothing to rejoice about. Bare truth, face it, admit it, and do something about it. Like Lisa! I much prefer her proactive approach, and her results are fantastic. Personally, I think she is gorgeous without makeup, and actually looks even younger. I say this because I think so. If I thought like you, I would just keep it to myself. No need to be gratuitously mean.

Not sure which boyfriend you're referring to, but from seeing the only two I saw (the ex-husband and the guy she went to Aruba with), they didn't look like they had real character. Just my impression, of course. Being "left" by a man is not a reflection on oneself, it does not define the person left. It's just a reflection on the relationship itself, of the lack of compatibility between two people, and then one of them gets fed up. It can be the stronger, more authentic one, or it can be the wimpier, more superficial one. Doesn't matter, at some point, one of the two in the unhealthy and incompatible relationship has had enough because they're not getting what they need, and wants out.

This process actually made me cringe & definitely is not less damaging. What is easier, less damaging, less expensive & less time cumbersome & time consuming is to just use a color remover & then tone. This is easily accomplished in just one sitting (one day) & it’s much better for the hair. Using a clarifying shampoo & powdered vit C isn’t any different than using lemon juice & Dawn dish soap - it’s what girls did in high school & so yes, this absolutely would lighten up the hair even if there’s no hair dye in the hair already. It’s no less damaging than using blonde box dye or bleach - especially if you’re leaving it on your hair for hours at a time & repeating the process several times. I would never recommend this process to my subscribers - if I had a channel. I almost feel like it’s irresponsible of you. Plus it’s just so much unnecessary time, effort, money & such a long, cumbersome process for the same results that can be attained with less damage in a couple/few of hours. Not to mention all the extra treatments & masks you’re buying/using to replenish the hair. This is not a good idea to me. Not even a little. It’s something we did in high school because we had too much time on our hands & didn’t know any better. The blue toning shampoo is also giving your hair a greenish hue too. You have a lot of really thick hair which is generally a texture able to withstand processes like this, but the average person has less hair & it’s thinner & so it’s going to have far more damage no matter how many olaplex or moisturizing treatments they do. People are better off using a color remover & then using a toner (then Olaplex & moisture). All of which can be bought in Sally’s or Amazon today & be done by tonight & end up with beautiful toned hair tomorrow & better results in the end.

@Allyson6C Жыл бұрын
@@m2kaay I’d use a color remover or do a bleach wash (an entirely different process) but be prepared that once you get that dark dye lifted out, you’ll need to recolor your hair again. Make sure you don’t make the same mistake twice tho 😩 Any time you’re adding color back in, the ends will grab color much faster than the roots to mid length so add your color to the ends LAST - so it’s only on there for a few minutes. Your roots to middle can withstand the full 20-ish minutes or whatever the dye time calls for. If your ends are damaged add color to them for only the last 5-8 minutes. They may still come out darker initially than the rest of your hair depending on how damaged they are. But damaged ends will also fade the fastest too. Good luck to you. Lmk how it goes

By accident I used vitamin C with Head and Shoulders conditioner. I didn't realize it until the next day. It's still lightened up my hair alot. If it's not working for you then you must not be using enough vitamin C. I did it a second time with Head and Shoulders shampoo and enlightened even more. It works! You just need to make sure that you're mixing in enough vitamin C. That's the key ingredient. You definitely have to be careful when using it especially when you put it on your scalp, I know I got cut a bit after the second time I used it. So I have to wait to re-dye my hair until the cuts go away.

Also the St Tropicia is much less expensive than the other., I can attest to the fact your hair has been growing like cz. I'm excited.oh btw for your eyes. You can get it at Sallys Beauty. Or I think they carry a brand at Walmart. It's the Kholestral creme. I used to, use it for hair color, hair color remover, as well as there is a trick in cosmetology that for a person who has thickmkrmstubborn hair the grey hair is resistant so it doesn't color well. So we just mixed the alcohol and baking soda. Put it on her roots that was resistance for 20 to 25 minutes then just rinsed it thru the hair then applied the color., and coated that Keystone Kholestoral crememarlund the ears as well, as the neck area to keep the hair color from staining around the face. It conditions your ears leaves those little babies all soft and not red. Have a great Wednesday. 🐞🐞🐞

I use that technique and in one setting it took out all my color and left my hair bleached out white as it looked before I did the horrible color that I put in my hair the vitamin C Technic lighten my hair a little bit but not like it does with the baking soda

Lisa, I thought you were going “step away from the bleach”. However your hair always looks nice. One exception was when you burnt up your gray hair.

I love your hair and all the products you use. My problem is my budget, yes, I'm pretty broke. Could you make a video for us girls on a budget and what products we could use? Also, I didn't see the link on how to cut your own hair, do you have it? I would love layers like you have. Thanks so much, love you 😍

I tried the St. Tropica for 60 days. Unfortunately it did absolutely nothing for me 🤷♀️

They say it takes 3-4 months to start working.

Research "how long does it take for hair vitamins to start working". From my research, most companies or reviews recommend a minimum of 3 months before the vitamins start to be effective.
