yes! I used to have super blonde hair as a kid and now my hair is nearly brown. It does get lighter in summer but only if I stay at the ocean and sun for 4 weeks. Especially my hair on the bottom doesn't get that bright blonde anymore :((

Yes this is extremely common. 98% of blonde women are no longer naturally blonde in the her adult years, so if you see a blonde adult woman, it’s safe to assume she gets her hair bleached.

With the lemon the best way for it to work it take lemons an water more lemon than water an put it in a spray bottle an spray it all over your hair an then sit out in the sun an as it drys just keep spraying it to keep it wet/damp an it gives you a way way better result than doing it in the shower

I have naturally very light platinum cool blonde hair and in the last two years since I moved to a new place it’s suddenly going dull and brassy orangey tone which I’ve never had in my life it looks like it’s from the minerals and buildup in the water so I’ve gone back to washing my hair with boiled water that I boil for 25 minutes and then let cool and I tried her recommendation in the video of 50% lemon juice and 50% water I sprayed it on my entire head so it was wet and I let it sit for 10 minutes and blow dried it while I did that, and then I put on a deep conditioning mask after shampooing and Let that mask sit for a good 30 minutes because I do have dry hair and this completely took out every last bit of brassy orange in my hair. my hair is healthy and shiny and platinum blonde again - so thank you so much this definitely works

Marla Robinson you can keep applying peroxide until you get past that, use purple shampoo, other products purple+lightener, etc. You have to buy some of these at Beauty Supply stores (Sally Hansen sells to public). Elle does a video somewhere on brassiness as well. Just fight it! I know a girl who had brown hair who went blond & it was totally beige.

Its the same for gray hair. See the video called ' bleach your hair with food grade hydrogen peroxide' .It is better to use the food grade hydrogen peroxide because there is no industrial chemicals in it which further dry your hair.Just do what the woman in that film does and your grey hair will be bleached. If you want to make it stronger, just add baking soda ,like in this video. You can try a small section of hair first to see if you like the color.

@@kimbrolyy That’s what semi permanent dye is for. It’s cheap, easy to do at home, and lasts 2-4 weeks. Since it doesn’t penetrate the hair shaft, lightening your hair in the future will be easy, as opposed to using permanent or demi permanent hair dye to counteract the orange. Redken Brownlights conditioner is the absolute best blue conditioner for stubborn orange hair if you don’t want to use semi color. Hope this helps anyone who’s reading this.

I haven’t used conventional dye for over a year. I used to have platinum blonde, but my hair was falling out. I switched to highlights and my hair still didn’t improve. I stopped for an entire year and my hair just felt so dark and brassy as I have a natural level 7 that is slightly ginger. I decided to try sun in and it worked really well for me, but it did dry it out. I took a break and toned my hair to a level 8. I’m now using a lemon juice/camomile mixture before each wash. My hair is now a level 9. It isn’t much darker than my bleached ends. This more natural method doesn’t happen over night though. I have a pretty light base, but I started the natural lightening process in July and it’s now October and I am just getting to a level 9. As she said in the video, this won’t work as well if you are brunette naturally.

Equal parts of water and hydrogen peroxide... it helps me with eliminating mouth odors also. It does helps with whitening and healing any sores in the mouth for me.

Lemon juice is still bleach and yes will damage your hair. You might use 3% food grade hydrogen peroxide which will lighten it more. I am a hairdresser by trade and lemon juice is damaging and drying to your hair especially when you do it repeatedly. The same with hydrogen peroxide. Use it once a month at the most and leave on for a hour. Spray it on clean dry hair, comb it through and cover your head with a plastic cap. It will work better if you sit in the sun. This is for blondes whose hair has turn to a dark blonde. Chamomile tea doesn't work. It's not a bleach.

One thing to note about lemon juice if you're using it in hair or skincare - be careful to wash any traces of it off of the skin before going out in the sun and *especially* avoid sitting in the sun with lemon juice on your scalp. This is because lemon juice on the skin combined with sunlight can cause something called phytophotodermatitis - basically a really really intense burn on the skin that can cause blistering.

Ok but seriously what did you do to get your hair like that? That isn't just natural lightener right? You must've had somewhat bleached/coloured hair & after in additionto the natural stuff just made it lighter right? Because your hair looks really healthy I'm honestly jealous not to copy exactly lol I have a side part & may not go so light but I have fine darkish blonde hair(lighter than your roots) while it bleaches quickly & easily it also damages & tends to go brassy Just curious what steps you took I would appreciate any tips I haven't coloured at all in over a year so I mostly have virgin hair w/ few inches blond tips left just below my shoulders. Clearly whatever you're doing works though as it's a very nice cool shade but not frizzy or fried. I don't know if thats due to masks before & after or what but it would be helpful to know how as I'm about to lighten again & have learned from years of going blonde to black to red to blonde again that now its healthy I don't want damaged hair ever again but want it to look good.

When I looked back at the photos my hair looked so good. I really want the blonde tips back.

What if you like the brassy color it turns from first bleaching? I know I'm weird but it just goes so well with my skin tone. Idk why lol. It actually brightens my skin tone and makes me look younger. I'm not a fan of the ashier. I like white blonde. Just not ashy. Golden is pretty! I'm not a red hair person but I guess I like more natural gingery. My hair is golden brassy now. I'm thinking about putting dark golden brown and white blonde streaks in it. I really appreciate all the wonderful information you share for free. My mother was a hair dresser in the 70's and did not know half the things you know. Although she did have some good home remedies for things I use sometimes. I will be trying the 🍋 lemon juice!

HI from Mexico Thought you were cute in your thumb + the subject was good so I clicked!! 😀I want to suggest; in whatever method one chooses, that you can mix it with conditioner, so you get a thick mixture of whatever and it doesn't run out. So you can take a shower, bath or whatever, and let the GOO-EY mixture do it's work on your hair. Then later, rinse it all out and Voila!!!! 😀 We make insanely creative vids many subjects

Crushed vitamin C pills worked really well for me too, but maybe for thicker hair they wouldn’t work... I have very fine hair...

My hair is brown naturally. I dyed it black with box dye, then two days later decided I didn’t like it and I washed it out. I crushed up vitamin c and mixed it w head & shoulders clarifying shampoo. I applied the mask to my hair, let it sit for an hour, then washed it out. It took ALL the black color out of my hair and brought me back to my regular color. So I know it removes dye, but idk if it lightens on its own. And in terms of drying out your hair, I mean when you feel it after an hour while it still has the mask on it it will feel dry and it will until you start to rinse it out with water but just use a bunch of conditioner to balance it out. Orrrr if you’re feeling fancy you can do a moisturizing hair mask. It’s nothing crazy though. I have super thick hair and my hair felt normal after I washed the vitamin c out. Hope this helped :)

This wasn't specified (from what I heard) in the video, but does this also work (and/or work as well) for natural blondes? I have NEVER dyed my hair and I am strawberry-blonde as an adult (platinum blonde as a child up until age 12) and now since I don't see the daytime sun (work) it's tough to bring my blonde out naturally during the warmer months.

whatever your styling need, try to find videos on the methods on youtube and maybe you would be able to do it yourself and not have to even go to a stylist. But if it’s something you wouldn’t be able to do for yourself, then check out “Groupon.com”, because I’ve seen many coupons for discounted hair styling places, and maybe you could save some money there, to help compensate for the hefty tip they expect you to leave. If you know of a styling school or “academy”, they need people to practice on, and you could get services much less expensive as well. Good luck, I know how it is, it’s difficult these days when ‘everything’ is going up in price, and the customer can’t catch a break.

Hi Silvia! I need your help! I have very fine thin hair & it's pretty long. I blow dry it to get a lot of volume at the roots, then I started using a hot straightener flat brush instead of a typical flat iron. Usually the day I do my hair it's nice & voluminous but my problem is the second, third day hair. That's when the static electricity attacks my hair & of course my hair goes flat as a pancake against my head! I should mention I use Briogeo Rosarco Milk reparative leave in conditioning spray & Briogeo Rosarco blow dry perfection & heat protectant crème on soaking wet hair, but not close to my roots, then I wrap my hair in an Aquis hair turban. My theory is that using the products on soaking wet hair will avoid getting too much product that'll weigh my hair down & cause it to look greasy. I use a deep conditioner on my hair about once or twice a month & my hair brush is a Wet Brush. I believe the static is caused by dry air & dry hair, correct? It gets worse when I brush my hair & I don't kno how to stop my brush from getting that static! I don't want to use a fabric softener sheet because of all the waxes & chemicals in them. I'm scared to use an oil as that'll weigh my hair down & cause greasy roots even if I don't put it super close to them. I also stay away from all types of silicone, parabens etc. My first question is, what can I do to prevent/get out the static from my brush &/or hair? My second question is what type of product can I use at the roots to give volume for more then the first day? I hate when products make my roots sticky, tangled, greasy... Should I try a mousse at my roots? Will a mousse product make my hair more prone to static? Am I doing anything else wrong? Should I use a different brush on dry hair that isn't made of plastic to cut down the static? What type of brush bristles should I use to avoid static & that'll be gentle on my delicate hair?? Sorry my question is super long. I'm just fed up with my static, flat & greasy hair & I'm desperate to find something that'll help it look better. I hope you or someone else can help me out & steer me in the right direction!! Thank you! 👍🤗💜

I have dark-greyish hair, and want either a blonde or extremely light caramel-brown colour. I definitely don’t want to bleach because my hair’s been struggling, and dry in the scalp as well sensitive at times. So I was wondering if anyone had advice on which method mentioned would work best, or if they have anything personally that they can recommend for me to do to achieve what was mentioned above? I’ve been looking for a solution for ages, and my hair-stylists always say “You should bleach it” but I know I can’t
