Niiiice Costume Russ also a friend of mine was playing the Friday The 13th game on PS4 one time and he showed me the purple Jason and he said he didn't know why they put that in the game for and so I had to sit and explain to him how it was the NES Jason but I was surprised at the time it was there LOL

Freddy prob next since its easier, batman will be a long build because I want to do it right and get the belt and Cowel, looking real nice, since its based off the Tim Burton batman. Russ Lyman totally fair on taking time for the Batman build! Not gonna lie the Keaton suit has always been my favorite, both original and Returns. I have been dying to either do an armored bat suit or the desert scene batfleck. Although I’m disappointed with dc lately I enjoyed afflecks performance and batsuits. I just see the sticker prices on the latex parts, or on 3d print files for the armor and it’s a lot to bite off. And yeah I binged his videos too! Helped me build my skills to paint my hocks.

Yes you are correct Retro jason does not have the chervrons or triangle, but I made this for my short movie "8 Bit Slasher" I the audience I think wouldn't really have known the 8 bit jason so I wanted to tie in the movie jason features as well. His machete also isn't blue in the game but I think it still drives home the fact that hes from the game

To help hide your eyes you can use window screen and women's black stockings. I do this for my Kylo Ren mask.

Yesss good tip for sure. Black Stockings work great. I've been liking it without for now since I can't wear my glasses when I wear the mask, so it already blurs my vision some ha. But usually I do some big bug eyes for photos and it looks good

would it have been better to get a 100% cotton jumpsuit since cotton takes dye better than polyester? Also how do you think a navy blue jumpsuit would look after adding purple dye? too dark? what about light grey? seems like dyeing white doesn't achieve a deep enough purple. I didn't even realize until a day later thinking about it (that's how you know u killed it when you have someone thinking about it a day later lol) that the chevrons we're not the correct color. Still tho all in all amazing job. If I can be a little too honest let's say maybe even critical and find soooommmething to bitch about tho I'd have to say get another actor to play jason . Hey Howie thanks for watching the video. Yeah lots of people have comment on the chevrons. I did do another Jason Mask and made them purple. 👉 kzbin.info/www/bejne/gIGrmGujpNBoicU But in the NES game you can't even see the chevrons. They show them more in the modern game. It was more a personal decision to make them red. I did make a short movie called "8 Bit Slasher" 👉 kzbin.info/www/bejne/bJW9k5xqqZqYmq8 Where I had someone else play Jason, but due to time restraints on shooting, it was actually 3 different people playing Jason in there. Since you can't see their face, I just got whoever was available that day to shoot

yeah that could certainly help, or maybe get a ballyclova that has the black fabric on the front that you can see out of and than put the Mask on over that. This way it's easy clean up. I usually bring this in a back for cons, pop it on over my clothes and a do a full laps, than take it off. If I had the makeup on I would have to wash it off and re apply

NES version shouldn't have any of the red chevrons, its just the flat blue color...I mean if you wanna keep them on at least make them purple so it matches the actual color scheme

They have chevrons in the short movie I made, so its more of a mix of regular Jason and Video Game Jason. Its called an artistic decision, but yes in the actual video game the mask is just one solid color

the red marks were added, so they weren't originally on there. This is a guide incase someone wants to make their own, so they are welcome to leave them off for when they make it, but for the movie I was shooting for they need the red marks. Link in description to the movie

I painted both in the video, a Axe and Machete, in the NES game he uses a mask which is what this costume is based on. In the modern Friday the 13th Game with the NES Jason Skin he uses a Axe correct. Always good to have options
