Thanks for sharing. 1 comment, you have to hold the torque wrench on end of the handle, not in the middle of the body/shank as you did, to get the proper accurate moment-arm torque applied.

Thanks Mike - you are correct - and I normally do. I just couldn't do it while holding a camera at the same time!

Thanks. Mine came with no instructions. No instructions on website. I got it after a while but would have been nice if they had a video showing how to get tube out of old housing and installed on new one

Where did you get the brake lines??
@fatasterisk79393 жыл бұрын
Hi Alvaro - I'm sorry for the late reply. I ordered the brake lines from a company called Crown. You can specify the length and the types of connectors, etc... If I recall I ordered stock connectors, but +3" rear and +2" in front.

I wish the guy still made these filter housings. I emailed him but it looks like no one is home anymore.

It looks like it might be Jowett Performance

Ever get a response?

Sorry for the late reply - but yes, Jowett Performance did make the filter housing. I had not heard that he has discontinued making them.

@@fatasterisk7939 Thank you. I bought one and its fantastic!

@@claudiusthegod sorry for the late response. So yes, I ended up waiting and watching the forums and was able to purchase one. If you’re interested in getting one, you’ll need to hang around the ih8mud forums where he posts updates on when he will make the next run of these.

how much oil quart
@fatasterisk79393 жыл бұрын
I believe my manual states 7.5 quarts including filter - but I would have to check. I think newer LC's call for 8 quarts if I recall correctly. I tend to split the difference.

Pretty thin oil ,is spec 5/40 ?
@elonsus97475 жыл бұрын
zoezoe610 Most new Toyota’s use 0w-20. I agree it’s pretty thin.
@fatasterisk79394 жыл бұрын
Sorry for the late reply.....it does seem quite thin but if you are running the Toyota synthetic - I think that is the only option. And as mentioned is it what is specified by Toyota.

@@fatasterisk7939 Many mechanics feel it is too thin for our climate but each to their own. 10/40 for me here in Australia.
@njsongwriter4 жыл бұрын
@@zoezoe610 I don't understand why people think climate has anything to do with modern oils. I don't care if it's 100°F where you live, operating temperature of your engine is double that. Film strength of the oil is what protects the engine from excessive where. There was a time that viscosity alone provided extra time strength. Not anymore. It's the additive package that provides the film strength. The benefit of lower viscosity us increased flow rate getting the oil to all parts of the tight tolerances engine.

@@zoezoe610 10/40 for me too here in Dubai....although toyota says 5/30....but i think offroading and revving near/abv 6000 rpms on dunes .....i think 10/40 is best ...fuel is cheap so nonworries abt fuel consumtpiton
