@gezski Just take the long sofa around to the back of the property, where I am fairy certain they have patio doors. Does all furniture have to come through the front door? That configuration of porch offers too many positive advantages to worry about moving the odd bit of furniture....... How many times do you change a large item of furniture anyway?

Chaps, Is the porch still a work in progress.? I assume that you did not go down to "Berrys" and order retro -style boot lintels for the door and window..? 😁👍 Dare I ask this one - how is the back garden coming along? PS = Assume Reginald was given his P45 some time ago.? PPS = Have you had any neighbours approach you regarding having a porch built.? PPPS = I wonder if someone will say in the comments tonight, "you should have put the door at the front."? 🤓🤡👍😁🧱🤨

We have a roof which has made a big difference. Back garden is on the back back burner until we see if we have any money left after the hip operation convalescence. Also Florida for me and Chris as soon as we are fit to celebrate our 30 th anniversary. The neighbours like a good nose but nothing so far . No door comments so far this week . 🤣🧱👍🏽👍🏽

Steve & Alex, your previous countdown at the start was awful but the new one is worse. Other than that the build is coming on well. When Roger from Skill Builder helped how many bricks did you have to re do? 😊

Chaps, I don`t know if you have seen it but, Roger did a really good video recently about London stock bricks, and their use in London housing. It was a really excellent video. I am really disheartened at all the pejorative and negative comments towards Roger recently. Really not called for.

I had to give up foundation work back in 2020 as the hip was getting sore. Almost everybody I spoke to said i won’t get a replacement as I’m too young . When it got unbearable I eventually got referred to a consultant who said yes you need a hip replacement. That was nearly 14 months ago. I now have a nail infection so they won’t operate until that has completely gone. I will be lucky if I get the operation by this time next year . In the mean time to say it’s ruining my life is not an exaggeration but being self employed I have to work . 😔😔🧱👍🏽
