I like your sealing of the Coroplex board with a heatgun and piece of board to press down on it. That is so so simple. Why did i never think of that before. Many thanks for this and all your videos!

Thanks watching and your support. I used this heat fusion method to build different things. I use heat gun and my friend used clothing iron to fuse the coroplast. The joint is very strong.

Not sure how I missed this one. Great idea with the aluminum guides and the cutter.

I love the crutch idea, it can be used for many different applications 😀

Yes, this is the least expensive way to get quality aluminum tubing to build boats. I will get the rivet gun so I can modify the tubing for other applications.

Have you heard of the AquaNaut 270? It's a foldable catamaran.
@DIYUSA3 жыл бұрын
Yes, I have watched their video. I want to build boats under 30 lbs (without motor). AquaNaut 9' boat each hull weighs 35 lbs and total weight is 120 lbs. The price for the 270 model is at $3999, which is very expensive. At this price range (and less), there are other foldable boats. My other goal is not to use the car top rack. Cheers!

I hope your putting a strong protective covering on all parts of this craft to keep the foam from being compromised and falling apart in the water, which foam does. We have enough pollution in our waters and don't need more. Something to think about.

Thanks for your suggestions. I do care a lot about environment, not limited to the disintegrated foam in the water, but also plastic waste, E-waste, air pollution, water pollution, etc. The boat in this video has been recycled. I probably not using the best protective covering available for the foam in building my boats, but I can assure you I constantly checking the covering and if there is a sign of wear and tear, it will either be repaired immediately, or the boat will be decommissioned. Besides my boats will be used in calm water and rivers and the stress on the outer skin will be very minimal. Thanks for bringing this up so we are all reminded about this issue.

"Poor man's fiberglass" might work for a protective covering. I love your ideas with this project.
