This is EXACTLY what I’ve been looking for! I had an old men’s XXL button up shirt I couldn’t bear to part with, so I was looking for a way to make it a form fitting mini dress. My only problem is it’s a short sleeve, so I may need to make it sleeveless or try a halter because the short sleeves don’t look as flattering as your long sleeved ones do. Since I already have HUGE shoulders it just makes it look way too wide on top. What would you do if the oversized shirt were short sleeved instead of long???

I bought a checked shirt and loved it so bought another one from the same site advertised as oversized shirt.i'm 5ft 2 1/2 and it drowns me.comes down to around mid thigh.thought I would make it into a dress and found you.this seems quite easy to follow.althiugh a bit fast.my problem now is I don't know where my waist would be as I'm guessing your a bit taller than me? How tall are you? Can anyone help with how far I should measure down for my waist? Also I don't have a sewing machine can you do it by hand?

Hi! Thanks for your message. Your natural waist point should be around your belly button. You are welcome to use your hand to sew but i recommend using a machine to ensure seam stability.
