Aside from the pros & cons that you talked about...a con, for the Frida pads, is that they are just simply for cooling and absorbing. With the DIY version, you get the absorption, cooling AND healing properties of aloe and witch hazel!

I used the Frida product and liked them, mostly for the convenience. In my last trimester I do not have the energy for even one simple thing! I also liked that I could keep them by my bedside and just grab one when I went to the bathroom without waking all the way into my kitchen first. I also want to point out that they got really cold after a while, like 15-20 minutes. It does take a bit for the cold to fully activate, longer than your video here. In fact, after a while I didn't want to sit directly on the pad because it was just a tad too cold. And the bulkiness really did not bother me. Personally, I feel the only real draw back is the cost compared to diy.

It says while the pad is in the sleeve fold it in half until you hear a popping sound, so that means before opening the sleeve to ensure it remains sanitized as you shake it afterwards.

Same girly except idk if I’ll take them to the hospital with me since I’m not sure if they’ll melt since I don’t have ice packs to keep them frozen plus I think some hospitals provide them but I’m not sure

I personally used generic perineal ice packs and although they did have a little bit of a hard spot on one of the ends, I tried to position it as high towards the front of my underwear/diaper as possible. it rarely bothered me! I coupled this with witch hazel pads either from the hospital (2-3 AER round pads) or the Frida mom witch hazel pads liners. this combo worked very well for me after I had 3rd degree tearing! I tried some diy padsicles as well but I didn't like them as much due to being slightly sticky from the aloe and also having to wait the right amount of time to let them thaw (the aloe would create ice crystals that were too frozen to unstick from itself and would've been hard/sharp to wear right away) and if I waited too long then it wasn't cold anymore. hope this helps anyone trying to decide what they want to do!

The pads are amazing! I’m watching how your doing this, and it’s not appropriate. You have to fold both sides all the way down until you hear the pop. It’s supposed to pop twice! I’m Not sure you followed full directions 😂. But great tip on the diy!

I'm 40 weeks and 2days today. I been to the hospital. Baby head is down baby heart rate is normal baby is moving . Im 1cm. I need help what can I do to induce my labor naturally. I agreed to do the unnatural one but I changed my mind because after they explained it I said no.. they already hurt me by checking the cervix for dilation...I refuse for them to check me uh uh no more What do I do!¡!
