I had my tub done professionally at a good price. I called the same lady and she wanted $300.00 per bathroom vanity top. I felt that was too much and you make it look doable. Ok, my next project by me. Thank you for easy step by step instructions. God bless your delivery and your family.

You did an AWESOME JOB!!! I have seen painted faux Marble counter tops and they never looked as good as Your’s does!! You did an excellent job!!! I have a small bit of marble on the vanity in my small bathroom. Your’s looks exactly like it! I love it! Thank You for sharing all of the products and techniques that You used. The others that I saw used feathers to make veining and it looked fake! Your technique with the tiny paint brush and following up with the softer large brush and rag made Your’s look real!! Excellent job.

Something that I would have never thought that counter tops could be painted. Turned out great really brightens up the kitchen.
@anneichenberger49706 жыл бұрын
you did a fabulous job and truly transformed your kitchen. You gave me a headstart on a table top that I want to marble. A small suggestion for others-get a small piece of marble and keep it in front of as you replicate her finish. You can get a small amount from Home Depot. Thanks again for showing me how!

Great job Shannon ! Turned out great and you are right they really do last. I did my son’s bathroom over two years ago using the exact same method and products and I really wasn’t sure how they would hold up especially since I knew doing my son’s bathroom would be a true test (always water, hair products, toothpaste etc left on counters not wiped up lol.. ) well it’s held up great n really does give a big impact without breaking the bank.. Love y’all color choices really looks phenomenal 😘👌🏼👌🏼

Really like the dimensionality you gave it with more than one color of base, and veining!

I was admiring your countertops in your last video. I did not realize you painted them... It looks amazing! Love the what you did to the backsplash as well.
@elizabethsauro35833 жыл бұрын
Bless you for sharing ! The transformation is impressive-I’m particularly struck by the depth! It’s so variegated, the layers and organic line-play are spot-on- your final outcome looks absolutely natural and utterly gorgeous. I’m definitely going to refer to your technique to guide the reclamation of my own (scuffed-up, peeling, though oddly sized) dishwasher top.. Ive been messing with porcelain tile configurations all morning, and nothing fits like i thought it would! I was panicking before i saw this-so thanks for the much- needed inspiration!!!

I would’ve used a thin bead a caulk around the sink. That the only thing different that could’ve been done. The project was expertly done and made me happy 👍🏾👍🏾😃

I use oil paint or epoxy that dries slower and then paint the veins in wet in wet, so the colours blend naturally together without any effort from you. Oil or epoxy paint is also more durable for countertops than acrylic paint. I have experimented with untangled rope or a bundle of twine (ca. 10-15” long) to apply the veins, dipping it in the grey colour and dragging it haphazardly over the wet base colour. That makes the most natural look but requires a bit of trial, error and experimenting on a separate board until you get the confidence whip away passionately.

Turned out great! I love that look. I would suggest that anyone wanting to do this that has never done it before should do a practice board to see what they like. I do prefer a high gloss top coat but that is a personal preference. I think it really comes to life with the sealer coat

Teresa Plans you can also use marble contact paper the epoxy resin. I like to blend the lines with flat white paint or to get rid of some of the veins. Very inexpensive. You could also tint the epoxy as well!

I painted my cabinets about 3 months ago and they turned out beautiful. You just have to take your time. I took off all the hardware, sanded and painted. It took me a good week to get all that work done but it was worth it. I used the kit that can be purchased at Home Depot. You can do it.

How has it held up in the past year? I've been told these steps should be done with an oil base product instead of water base simply because you may get your counter tops wet. I don't know, I'm just saying what I've read. Thank you, great tutorial.

I wonder if this would work to turn my mother's green & white bathroom countertop to blue & white. I'll have to get photos of the existing veining pattern to put up as reference when I'm working. Wish I could just paint the veining part to cover the green & then epoxy or poly over it.

You can always research & look into using heat proof epoxy over this for the future 💖💖 so many good brands like Leggari have tutorials. Or if you have a budget try a less expensive epoxy. I’m going to try marbling different tinted concrete on my countertops. Then an epoxy sealant
