This was a wonderful video...I especially liked the observation "the distressed look hides earlier mistakes". So true, for so many experiences in life.

This is a brilliant design -thank you for sharing! I couldn't however understand about the lightbulb...did you say lightbulb extension...what is that? And the flat piece/circle what is that made of? thank you
@BrinkmanCraftsАй бұрын
@@trish3580 Thank you! The lightbulb is fixed to the extension and this area has to be modified to fit your specific light. The flat piece was a thicker piece of paper.

Thank you so much for this well-done and well-explained tutorial. I have a question about safety. Is it possible for the paper to catch fire from the light bulb? If so, are there any suggestions for preventing this?
@BrinkmanCrafts2 ай бұрын
@@mariaescala2445 don't take my word for this, but at least the LED lights I use seem to not run very hot at all.

How do you make something like this that goes into like a spiral tip like an ice cream cone? I have an idea for lighting, I want to put an LED strip on something like a microphone stand And then basically make a coil that goes from wide to narrow, and clip the wide and onto the bottom of the stand, and then the narrow end of the other side of the spiral to the top of the stand with a clip I imagine that it would do something similar like this where I could expand and collapse it What is the material that you’re using for it to be collapsible?
@BrinkmanCrafts3 ай бұрын
@@NathanNavarrete-r5m it sounds like an interesting design you have in mind! But I do not know how I would make it, I used rattan for these.

Thanks for the great review! How heavy (g/m^2) is the washi paper?

Thank you! But unfortunately I do not know the weight of the paper, but it is not super thin anyways.

I see, what do you use to cut out holes on paper if you don't have a press
@BrinkmanCraftsАй бұрын
@@sparkden I either use a small pair of scissors or a really sharp knife.

Can you share dimensions? What's the lowr and upper diameter? My bin turned out to be too large for an a3 sheet. Does an a3 sheet covers it or bigger paper need?
