This gave me enough confidence to start doing this myself! One tip i saw in another video, when you do the corner cuts (45deg) try to make them overlap and then make one cut through both layers so they will match 100%.

Thats a good way as well, we actually like doing them individually as some materials tend to shrink or contract over time, so we lightly hit the entire area with CA glue. You have to be careful with that stuff getting in places you don't want tho, so cutting a single piece at a time helps to avoid having to start again! Thanks for the comment!

Woww! Thankss man. Actually, when and how do you cut the holes (for jack socket) on the side or front of the pedalboard?
@Westcoastpedalboard3 жыл бұрын
We usually cut the holes after the board frame is complete. Put the feet on first so it has legs, then we use an exacto knife with a fine tip. Cut a star pattern into the visible outer side so the material depresses back into the hole when the AC and 1/4” harnesses are installed. You can cut the entire fabric out of the underside holes so the parts have no obstructions. If your want a pic or two, email us using the link on our website. 🤘🏼🤙🏼

Too many trade secrets, prob won’t do that one…
@CiceroMonteiro3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the free knowledge. Pro tip: when you're done clamp the corners for few hours and they will be 100% awesome, regardless the material.
@Westcoastpedalboard3 жыл бұрын
If you use the right glue, and adhere it at the right time, you don’t need to clamp anything, just a few seconds of rolling with decent pressure. Clamping the material isn’t necessary when using the right materials 👍🏼
@CiceroMonteiro3 жыл бұрын
@@Westcoastpedalboard you're right Spence. I do not have access to this glue where I live, that's why I shared the tip. I had a few loose corners but with a bit of clamping even the low quality glue can work. Your technique is flawless.

Love those boards,Do not like the wrap.I would rather use black tolex,I`m gonna set that on every stage or nasty floor i play at you know i`m gonna destroy it.But it looks nice.

Can you provide a supplier for Everstrong ES10+?.... I can find ES30 contact adhesive. no idea if it is the same/as good/ better... any alternate suggestions for adhesive?

Bill Gilchrist we sell it here; never heard of the 30, not sure what the properties are of that version. westcoastpedalboard.com/product/pedalboard-tolex-and-tweed-glue/
