Am loving your vids! So informative, especially love the what-not-to-do's as well as the what-to-do's. Just had another thought for this project. you could melt down a red candle in a double boiler, add some peppermint essential oil to the melted wax and then using your method with the tape, paint the melted red wax onto the white candle...not sure how clean the lines would be but I would hazard a guess that if you waited until the wax had set enough to hold it's shape, but not long enough to dry fully, it should work ok. Thanks for your awesome ideas :D

Yes, it is safe to burn. The wax and the acrylic paint will both melt down just like a normal candle.

Most acrylic paints (and other plastics) will brown, then scorch, and then usually burn mostly with smoke (not usually flame)...the temps at which various plastics will do that however varies from a low of about 200 F to a high of 375 F (though length of heating at those temps matters too). ☺️✌️
