DIY Photobooth for $115

That is right folks... DIY Photobooth for $115 (Not including DSLR and FLSH). You can create your own photobooth in such a short time. All you need is
1) DSLR
2) TWO Tripods
3) 10" Android, iPad or Windows tablet with touch screen
4) 1 Flash with diffuser
5) TWO USB cables to connect Camera to Tablet and Tablet to Printer or external display such as big TV or projector

Thanks for making this video, you rock! I was trained at a wedding and the person who was controlling everything on the touch monitor on a Lenova laptop had to many customers squeezed in line and huddled around the laptop which caused a glare in the light from above so I could not see what the person was doing on the monitor step by step - it was frustrating on my end because everything was live in action with people getting confused if trainer would text or email photos. You helped me out a great deal and thank you so much. I took screen shots of your steps you did even though it has the watermark. Just needed to clarify the steps and you answered all of my questions. Hugs!

Too bad the $59 version doesn't have "Live Preview", and the Pro version is required for that, at $169. I "maybe" wanted it for a couple of events (kids birthday parties). I still may get the $59 version and just buy a "mirror" for the live preview part, as the countdown still works in that version.

The live view is useful... that is for sure. However, if you are using your DSLR than I would just do one thing - get my focus right with my DLSR - get it locked and changed it to Manual Focus - than mark X on the floor so people know where to stand and take the snaps - as long as people keep standing at the marked spot and camera doesn't get mess with, you should be OK. Besides after taking pic, people can see their pictures on tablet anyways!

Great question... If your camera goes out, well, you cant take any pictures, so not sure what would you be printing? You can use the table's front camera for pictures, but you won't have light... unless you use which ever available light source... Second thing is that I rather connect the printer to the tablet via USB then printer to camera over WiFi or USB. Hope that answers your question. Good luck Cheers!!!!

Yes. After the count down, it triggers camera to click, with that camera click, the flash fires. Pretty Cool haa!

what lens you suggest to use? canon 50mm f1.8 STM is ok? Amd what flash are you using?

You can use 50 mm however I would not recommend that. I have tried 18-55 kit lens and has worked just fine. I use generic Newwere flash and it has worked just fine as well. As long as flash has universal shoe, you should be OK. Good luck.

Great question. I do not have a USB printer. At this point, I do not have printer as usually people just scan the QC and download pic on their phone so they can share on social media... saves printing cost and waist of paper as well... So far, people loves the idea... Go Green!!!!

Hey there, The tablet I am using is not Android based but actual Windows 10 Pro based. Thus, was able to install the app and so far, it is working just fine. Hope my answer helps. Also, the link for the tablet is the description of the video. Good luck...👍

Jessie, you may want to find out if and which USB port your iPad supports. You may have one or no USB ports on your iPad. If you have single USB port, I suggest to get USB multiport dongle so you can plug in Camera and other USB device with your iPad. Hope that helps. Good luck and cheers mate!!!

Ashley Noelle Sorry, this app only supports Canon and Nikon cameras for now. However, I have seen numbers of Sony users asking the same thing. So, hopefully in near future, the app should be able to support Sony cameras. Hope I was able to answer your question. Good Luck...

Yes it does support Sony cameras thru wifi. Check the website for supported cameras. I have an A6300. It works thru Smart Remote, a windows tablet with at least 4gigs of ram to handle the software and you are good to go!
