Hi Patty, if you are using a Roamer and you connect to a printer 🖨️ wirelessly, it will print on demand. Some software allow a sharing station where guests can go share as well as print. Just depends on your setup.

For WCM2 all I do is plug 🔌 power then ethernet cord to hub/ iPad then WCM2 to printer? And keep the wifi off? Does it still print if Wifi is on? 3:36

Yes. The ONLY reason I turned WiFi OFF is to prove it works without WiFi if you are in a bad area. You don’t need WiFi for the wcm2 to work. You can connect it directly. If you have WiFi on, you can text the photos to your clients

If you are doing wireless, 🛜 you can charge the iPad. With the wired method, the usb adapter allows charging while hard wired to the print server

Yes, if you watch the video, I have hard wired ipad to the computer NEVER to the printer directly. It doesn't work that way. YOu either have to have a computer or Aircast in between as it has the printer driver on there

I had this all set up at home using the Ethernet connection to my laptop with windows and it worked great. Took it to an event and Lumabooth assistant wouldn't connect with the laptop. Now I have it set up at home again to try to figure things out and Lumabooth assistant connected right away to laptop. But, now it won't print. What am I missing? Thanks!

Of course, when you are wired, you are using the Ethernet channel to talk to your printer. Does not affect your texts or emails

@@brandonsandoval2661 it’s NOT dependent on dslrbooth. Dependent on your hardware ie iPad or MacBook. If #1 Ethernet has NO internet, it will default to #2 WiFi then #3 cellular, you can choose the order. The hardware is smarter than you think. If you Just have bad internet or cellular, than nothing is going to work

Hello Rex Huang Thank you so much for your hacks! Are amazing! So about this hack i had an issue on my last event. I use ipad air 2022 and lumabooth printing with dnprx1. When i use this -Powertech PTH-046 USB-C- which the same adaptor but not Belkin, i had an overheating i pad and stop printing. So I have to put my old method with luma both assistant to continue my event. Do you believe was an issue from this adaptor? If i use Belkin will be fine ? Thanks in advance.

Hi Well I give it a go, I use an iPad Pro running lumabooth my laptop is a XPS 17 702x running Windows 10 64 bit , plugging the adaptor lead into the iPad it recognises ethernet cable and charge cable, upon connecting both ends the iPad does not communicate with the PC it shows the connection there , it just comes up with an identified network any help would be appreciated I have tried uninstalling the Ethernet connection and reinstall but sadly nothing happens am I missing something

If you are using Snappic Print server over Wifi, it should work. The programming and language is the same. The difference is it's wired versus wireless. When you get a chance, give it a try and let us know how it goes.

The aircast pro is universal and works with most Dye Sub Printers. The HP is laser jet and not commonly used for photo booths. The drivers are in the units themselves. Very few printers have wireless built in. The canon Selphys do but are not cost effective for events

you don't need a server, my ipad 9th generation can print over the home network (wired) (no wifi), without any additional apps installed(thru ethernet dongle), it can even directly print USB thru the lightning dongle, even wifi-direct is possible

They need to match and sync. The “page” is NOT standard on windows laptop. It is the print server from the app you use.

Hi Rex, thank you for your quick response. I spent my whole day trying to figure this out. When teaching beginners they need to know from the very beginning. I did download my printer Driver, which I did not know I needed to do that. I downloaded Luma boothassist, which I needed to know upfront. when teaching beginners you can’t assume that we know this already which I did not know. You’re very good at what you do but a lot of times beginners need to be spoonfed and shown in baby steps to follow along . I eventually figured it out because I am a very determined person. The hack works great, but I spent my whole day learning how to do this. A lot of the comments are asking the same question that was created in my mind when I watched your video. What cord from the printer is plugged into the laptop, we don’t see that in the video. That would answer a lot of questions from those comments if it was explained. We see the cord going into your laptop but we don’t understand where is coming from. You are very good at what you do thank you for sharing this and making me work very hard at figuring it out. And those that want to, will eventually figure it out.. I Look forward to watching more of how to Videos. You are very, very informative.. thank you very much.

I tried to hardwire like you said at the end, and based on some of the comments below, I need to install Printopia onto my Mac. However, when I go to install the application it says that it requires macOS 10.7. My Mac, though, is a 2014 version that is running version 10.12. Any ideas on what I can do? Great video. I installed the drivers, added the printer, and tried everything, but none of the options work to be able to print. I have the DNP-RX1HS printer and it shows up as one of the options to print on Lumabooth, but nothing happens. Any ideas?

For hardwire the printer is either connected to a laptop or wireless connect module via a USB A to B cable.

It can’t connect to Lumashare, unless I turn on wifi and have iPad 1 connected to WCM via wifi Is there a way to connect iPad 2 to lumashare while having iPad 1 ONLY connected to WCM via Ethernet ?
