I have made those but you don't have to use pipe cleaners all you do is put them in hot water and they will close when they close you stick them in the wreath in the different wired sections and then you put them in the oven at a very very low temperature and they'll slowly open up when they do they hold each other in there what you're doing is taking the long way around

Eileen!!! You should be feeling like you've won the lottery - dry pinecones are most ideal - YIPPEE!!! Only thing is to work on a covered surface - the dried sap will flake away almost like a powder. @Weekendatthecottage2 жыл бұрын
Hi Elizabeth! Thanks for watching and thanks too for writing in! Try this - see if you can pull the pine cones closer together... and then try to squeeze another in place. Sometimes, snugging them closer gets them to hook into each other. Fingers crossed!

I have the same problem. The pine cones flop all over the place. Makes sense to squeeze a couple in and hope that they hook onto each other to keep them stable. I’ll also try forcing the interlocking!

I have the same problem, because I used smoother longer pine cones. They are beautiful but won’t interlock and flop forward and backwards, no matter how much I tighten them. I used the large wire form. Not sure how best to fix it now.

Hi Bonnie! Thanks for trying the project. So... I used to make them with florist wire, but found the exposed wire scratched the door.
