Wow!!! What a great project. Since you posted the picture of the tiered men’s dress shirt skirt this summer I have been looking for plaid and flannel shirts to make a fall version. This fits the bill so will. I appreciate when you throw in other styles that aren’t your vibe. It shows the depth of your skill as an up-cycler.

Wow! That took a lot of creativity and genius. That could be high fashion for a tall person on a runway or at a nice evening party, or in a designer’s office. Difficult to duplicate; super unique. I would add some silk or a shiny texture. I really loved it!

When my husband was alive, he wore red flannel shirts almost every day. Gifted to him from his mom every Christmas and birthday. Even before we dated. Color I dislike the most is red. Orange is in same level of dislike. Fortunately, someone gave my husband a hint about not wearing plaid so much around the woman you want to date. Seeing the thumbnail images of your videos, I keep in mind that everything is according to taste - the upcycle process is the inspiration. I would probably make this skirt for winter wear with blues and grays. And make the front hem higher to show my boots and easier walking. I am the one long skirts don't work well because I automatically step on the skirt in the front over and over. Learned that simply making a front hem adjustment decades ago because I love full skirts with boots. With boots and different colors, this would be something I would wear all winter. No doubt.

Wow such intricacies but the results looks great. I especially like the front and yes the tying is cool. The mentioning of the shirt you're wearing is a lightbulb moment for me because I love thrifting men's shirts but always tying them at the bottom doesn't work for my big(ish) waist. Now I can cut some of them off and have the cleaners stitch it to the length I want. Thank you so much!☺️ Gotta feeling I need to join somethin' cause I'm about to cover my beatup Fendi bag with a piece of mudcloth that I've been saving for quite a while. Pray for me 😁 Thanks!

Fellow box shape here :D I always look to try and dress like an X shape. My friends would swear on a stack of bibles that I have a waist lol (except the ones who have seen me nekkid lol). I'm totally a flannel plaid old hippie freak so I loved this video!!! I love that you show your mistakes; I didn't sew for 45 years so LOOOOOTS of mistakes haha. I joined the group and everyone there is so inspiring! I have a ton of clothes that I simply can't wear, and most of them are from second hand stores in the first place and worn to death so I can't donate, but I also won't throw out. This video got me so happyyyyy1

in the beginning i was 'why copy this', and i knew that everything is not for everybody, but why? but once i saw the finished product i was a believer!! i love that you used the sleeves as pockets and ties! i love that you kept the pockets, plackets and cuffs recognizable. the sleeves at the waist was the best look for me. i think that i would have loved seeing the collars as waistbands as well and i agree that one color palette would be nice. any time that you can go from whaa to wow, great job!

@dianamorgan95623 жыл бұрын
When you sewed together the two sleeves, my mind went directly to wow, you could make a flounce skirt just out of men's long sleeves (from the regular shirts - not flannel) it would be so cute. Maybe make some suspenders from 3-in ribbon, and wear the skirt over a black or white, t-shirt that would be so cute!
@dianamorgan95623 жыл бұрын
I don't know if leggings are still popular in your area, but they are here. So you could wear the skirt over long leggings or short leggings - depending on the weather, pair it with a short or long jacket and the possiblies are endless.

And a gray Nike t-shirt adding on a dress layer ruffle from a yellow& gray checked shirt. And more brown tine shirts. I got a total of 8 groceries bags full and camping pot for $50.00.
