I'm watching a year after you uploaded because lately I've been wanting a blanket ladder! I've watched a few videos, and I must say I LOVE the simplicity of yours. Right before I watched your video I watched a couple girls make a blanket ladder and they had all the big tools! Wonderful for them, but I don't have room for the big saw. LOL The detail that stuck out to me the most from your video was the reminder that many lumber depts will cut the wood for you! Light bulb moment! Yes! Now I feel I can do this project all by myself knowing I don't have to worry about cutting the wood. Thank you! Your ladder looks great au natural. I was thinking regarding the inked writing you were washing off, perhaps sanding it lightly would remove more? Anyway, great video! Thank you! Going to build my own blanket ladder. 😊

Awww thanks for letting me know! This was really nice to hear! 🙌🏽 Yes and we still have it and I still love it! I love the natural wood aspect as well! You can definitely make this on your own with just a few things. Yes you definitely can sand it off! We had a little hand sander but I think it had gotten dark out by the time we finished and i’m an impatient DIYer haha!! But definitely would have been easier 100%! I hope you make one and love it! If you post it, please shoot me a picture or tag me on IG so I can see! Blessings!!

I’m trying to make this project but what screws did you guys use? I know it says 4” but when I went online it gives me so many different options, for example: #10x 4” or 1/4in x4”or #9x4”. Which one did you use?
@TeeLeeper4 жыл бұрын
Hi love! My King said “I believe they were #10x4”. #9x4” or any wood screw would work.” Hope this helps 😘

What size drill bit did you use before installing the screws
@TeeLeeper4 жыл бұрын
I’m not sure because it was a while ago but to be on the safe side, use two sizes smaller than the size of the screw you’re using.

Use 2x2’s. Easier to work with, lighter to carry finished product and use dowels maybe? No screws or nails- just Elmer’s! Just a thought!
@TeeLeeper5 жыл бұрын
Oh you’ve made one with all of that before? That’s cool! This one isn’t heavy at all but I like what we did because it was super easy and peace of mind knowing it’s really sturdy so I can move it, drop it, paint it, re-sand it and paint it again and it’ll hold up as if we just done it.
@pogeybait52895 жыл бұрын
Yes-each time I made one I learned an easier-quicker way. Yes, they are easy to build and are very functional!! Very!!! Got 4 in the home! So yours is good ! Enjoyed the vid!
