With a little extra research I did what you said and just pulled out my third recumbent trike tadpole frame. Dang folks think I'm all smart and stuff. Thankyou Sir from a new subscriber. God bless from northern Ontario. In the spring I'll try to post some pictures.

I need to ask did you ever install the door gasket and a vent? If so where did you install the vent and what size? Also, did the paint burn off the inside? Looking at building something like that also.Thanks.

@letkemanfabworks619 Ай бұрын
@@captnjack5637 yes I used a rope type gasket that’s used on fire places. The paint has worked grate with no issue (I used bbq paint). And yes I had to make a vent. I cut it in a lower corner and as far as size I kept cutting it bigger until the flame stoped backing up the heater. As with out it the box would pressurize and the flame would be trying to back up through the heater but all still works. 👍

Hey, thanks for a great videos series. I am in the prosess of building an oven here to. How about making a follow up? Would love to see that thing in action, meaning to see you coating and curing. Greetings from Norway.

Hey thanks for watching! Yes I have had plans to do a follow up vid but I made a mistake somewhere and trying figure it out. Worked well the first wile while using it. But the burner seems to not be keeping up the more i use it. And I am not sure why…. But I know many others using this set up with no issues so I’m trying to see what I have done wrong. But one way or another I’ll get it figured out. Thanks again for watching.

@@letkemanfabworks619 could just be the heater. those heaters have a continuous run without heat when shutting down, for cooling purposes. (when you turn on, off, on, off, etc.) no cooling. probably burning out heater internals. Heaters continue blowing cold air for cooling when shut off, your setup turns everything on, off instantly. You need to continue running blower for time period on (off mode), before complete shutdown, between each on-off session.( need timer for blower motor in off mode.)

Hey sounds good. So far it seems to be working well still. I had to make a larger vent as the flame came through the heater and burnt it up but with a bigger vent all is good.

Does the propane tank need to be manually cut off when the PID turns the Heater off after it reaches temp? My heater seems to get an extra "blast" of propane after it gets turned back on from the PID and seems to run too hot.
@letkemanfabworks619
@letkemanfabworks619 3 ай бұрын
@@nickprice9420 I do have a little extra propane when the heater fires back up but that’s just so the heater has something to spark and turn on. As for the temp being to hot, I know mine runs a bit cold so my pod show a bit warmer then what the inside of the oven shows. I think this has something to do with the temp sensor placement.

What did you change on the heater to make it come on and off? Also does gas leak when it’s not running?
@letkemanfabworks619
@letkemanfabworks619 11 ай бұрын
This heater from mr heater has a built in auto ignite so it starts and stops on its own. So all I did was added a gas solenoid that switches on/off the gas flow once the oven is at temp. I think I go through some of this on part #2 they mod I made to the heater.

Yes I have powdered some smaller test parts and worked well. But I melted some wires in my heater which I’m replacing right now. Due to not having a vent. So I’m fixing that right now. But we will see how this goes👍 thanks for watching.

Hello, so question. How will you vent the oven. I mean, blowing in a box. Got the have a vent, without losing the heat.
@letkemanfabworks619

Right now I have a vent on the lower corner of the box. Let’s the pressure out but keeps most of the heat in.

@@aimniagaaim2058 it takes around. 15-20 min. I think if I were to do it again I would make the walls thicker I think I’m loosing some heat with the walls being this thin. Also remember to put a vent In the box. Other wise the flame can go back through the burner.
