We usually put ours up the day after Thanksgiving. I lost my husband in July 2019. Last Christmas was certainly rough with out him. The Lord is so gracious though and gives us strength day by day as we heal. Our kids are grown and now a grandbaby is here too and she is precious! With all that's happened this past year, I just may break tradition and decorate for Christmas earlier than usual! Blessings to you and your sweet family!🎄

Sarah,we lost our oldest child on Nov 25th,22yrs ago.It was the day before Thanksgiving.I still had 2 younger kids to get thru the holidays. This year, the anniversary is hard, she`s now been gone longer than she was alive. She was 21.I celebrate her life instead of mourning her death. We tell stories about her, what she meant to each of us,and we talk about how her holidays are with Jesus. We were so grateful to have had her in our life.I cannot imagine losing my husband.I`m praying for peace for you thru these holidays.God bless you and your son.

Growing up my dad sold trees that a friend and my dad cut from his mountain property. My sisters birthday was Dec 16 and we decorated it the day before her birthday. It was a huge tree. We lived in a house that was 75 years old in the 1960’s with extremely high ceilings. The topper touched the ceiling. They dressed us in the same outfits only mine was in the pink family and my sisters was in the blue family. I just came across one of my Christmas gifts that was pink my jewelry box. It’s such a sparse tree and I’m always covering it with as much ribbon and ornaments as possible to fill in the bare spots! I think flocking will help it to look fuller! Thank you very much for sharing this idea. I was getting tired of our old Christmas tree I was thinking to get a new one but I don't want to spend that much for Christmas tree in the middle of this crisis because of pandemic and now I can make it new by doing the same thing as yours. May we all celebrate the Christmas season with love, Joy and peace and good health with our love ones. And remember Jesus is the reason for this season. More Blessing to your loving family.💝
