Ok. So i don't like the tone of the SSD and I prefer, or at least know how to better use, the drums in Apple Logic. I'm planning on getting the SSD version of this and using it, basically, as a way to sample the beats before deciding to use them, then drop the midi into my drummer track in Logic. Does that sound like it would work?

Not sure about the actual SSD Expansions like Blackbird or Terry Date bro. They may have extra grooves but couldn't tell you for certain. 🤘

Ultimate Punk is a different pack bro. Built from scratch. Still has a load of D-Beats etc but not the Skate Punk packs. Sorry for the late reply. John 🤘

How’s it going Lucas? Cheers for the message! Yeah man, the version that is called “The GM Skate Punk Pack” is mapped to GM MIDI mapping which MT Power Drum Kit uses. The only thing is that it is a drag and drop pack only as MT Power Kit doesn’t let you install the grooves to the software like EZDrummer or SSD5 - so to audition the files you’d need to drag them from the midi folder to your instrument track with MT open to listen to them. I show this in this video - kzbin.info/www/bejne/oIizZIJ8r8dnjac Have a look and see if that would work for you. All the folders are labelled (fills, double time, normal time, breaks etc) so that helps as a starting point! Hope that helps! Cheers.

I'm a little bit lost with all the different packs, are they all the same? In what are they different?

Hi Olivier. The 4 packs are for 4 different Drum Samplers. EZ Drummer 2 by Toontrack, Superior Drummer 3 by Toontrack, GGD is Get Good Drums and SSD is Slate Audios drum sampler. Each of these drum programmes all have different samples and different MIDI mapping so the skate punk midi pack is the same pack across the board. All the same grooves for each pack but programmed for the 4 different pieces of software. If you have EZ Drummer to you would use the EZ Drummer 2 pack, SSD the SSD pack and so on. If you were to load the GGD pack into EZ Drummer, for example, the MIDI would playback incorrectly. Cheers.

@@phantazzor They all vary in price bro and SSD 5 currently is the only brand that offers a free lite version of their product. EZ Drummer 2 has a really great "Mixed" sound out of the box and you can't go wrong with SSD5.5 either for tight snappy drums. Superior 3 is a massive library but all completely raw samples so need "Mixed" to bring it to life. On our site, we provide presets for SD3 users to get super in your face drums as you may have seen under Superior Drummer 3 presets. GGD is a super hard-hitting library with really great snare drums/room sounds. I would go with either SSD5.5 free just to get to grips with it or if you have some cash to spend EZ Drummer 2 is really great and has a ton of expansions to expand the sounds also. Cheers!
