DIY Rainbow Sherbet Cold Process Soap 🌈 Clyde Slide Technique | Bramble Berry

Learn how to make colorful, swirly, cold process soap using the Clyde Slide technique! Inspired by the juicy notes of Rainbow Sherbet Fragrance Oil, this soap is bursting with colorful swirls.

Rainbow Sherbet Fragrance Oil is a crowd-pleasing scent, with notes of green apple, orange, and grapefruit. It behaves well in cold process, which is essential for the swirly design. The Swirl Recipe Quick Mix also helps ensure you have plenty of time to work.
The key is to not over stick blend the batter - use short bursts of 2-3 seconds, then stir with the stick blender off for 5-10 seconds. Repeat until barely emulsified, then split into 6 containers. The batter can be stick blended quickly later (if necessary), once the colors and fragrance have been fully incorporated.

7.7 oz. Sodium Hydroxide Lye
17.2 Distilled Water
3.5 oz. Rainbow Sherbet Fragrance Oil

Hot Pink Mica
Racing Stripe Orange Mica

Beautiful soap. It seems strange for me to offer you advice, but I do have a much easier way to mix micas directly into soap. Put your micas in on top of your raw soap batter and stir with a whisk and it fully mixes into your batter in just seconds. I can't wait to try these new fragrances!

A sink of warm soapy water works great, you can toss the easy pour cups in as you go to let them soak a little while you're pouring your soap into the mold for an easier clean-up after!

Love the pouring technique! If using a 18 lb slab mold (that's later cut into logs and then bars) - where would you pour from for an even swirl?

Good afternoon, we haven't tried coconut urbech but it has a higher saponification value than coconut oil, so we wouldn't recommend it as an even substitute.

You're right, we left quite a bit of soap in the containers of this one! It was getting a little bit too thick towards the end to pour like we wanted. But don't worry, all that soap got poured into individual cavity molds. No soap was wasted 💜
