Hi Ellen, Thank you for these recipes. I made the beard oil last night, wow I love it. I didn't have the avocado oil so I split equal amounts of apricot kernel oil and hemp seed oil. Gave 2 away to family members and they absolutely love it. Both have skin conditions and I am happy to report you have a great recipe.

😊hello Ellen, been waching you for years! Ive been making beard oil and beard balm for several years! I’ve used hemp oil in all of my products forever! I love it! What is really funny is i too use amber bottles and craft labels for my products intil this year when i started transitioning to clear bottles (except my masculine line). I kept it brown! My oil blend is a bit different than yours but same consept!! I’m making lotion bits this week and would love to send you some if you would like!!! I love supporting and sharing other soapers!!! Do you have a po box?

It's a fabulous fragrance, I hope you love it as much as I do. I usually don't share the fragrance amount because is can very between scents and I want folks to look up what they're using to make sure it's the correct amount for that particular fragrance.

So I have a question. I use the unrefined yellow Shea Butter I get from soaper’s choice and I’ve had grainy issues with all my solid products I use with it. Even if I hold it at 140 degrees F for 20-30 minutes. My beard balms, body butters ect… I’ve found the only way to get rid of that grainy texture in the finished product is to strain it through cloth. I love the yellow Shea butter because of all the nutrients in it due to it being raw and unrefined. But it’s a bit of a pain with that extra step. Have you had this happen? And if so do you know of any other ways to get rid of that grainy texture? As always, I love your videos and am so grateful you share such wonderful recipes and techniques with all of us, thank you ❤️
@EllenRuthSoapАй бұрын
I have had grainy issues in the past. Heating slow & low helps as well as cooling fast, try pop it into the fridge for several hours after making.

I really hate to ask this question however I am so new to this process but when it comes to the fragrance oil that I am using I really have a hard time smelling the scent. Can you please help me with the calculation to confirm that I am using the correct or desired amount? my scent is by the FLAMING CANDLE company and is called Patchouli Amber, the lotion safe ratio is between 1-1.7%. I want to make 6 2 oz tins (which I believe I would just triple you recipe) for my gifts this year. Thank you for all your help and and for these recipes and the time it takes to upload them to us.

You're safe to use the max recommended amount for your products. I always like to read reviews, they help to know which scents have good scent retention and more..
