DIY Renault Scenic 3 / III Fix - Check & Change Reversing Lamp Light Bulb (and rear Fog Light Bulb)

Watch #HowToBloke remove, examine, replace, and test the reversing light (*) bulb on his venerable Renault Grand Scenic 3 / III.
It is not necessary to remove the light cluster / lamp assembly or lens to change the reversing light bulb or fog light lamp bulb on a Renault Scenic 3 / III. If a brand-new bulb still doesn't work, check the fuse for the reversing light or rear fog light.
The vehicle featured in this video is a 2009 Renault Grand Scenic 3 / III 1.5 DCI - it is also known as a Renault Megane Grand Scenic 3 / III. This particular model of Renault Scenic uses a single reversing light bulb with one filament.
(*) A reversing light is a white light illuminated at the back of a vehicle when that vehicle has reverse gear engaged.

thanks for the instructive video . I dealt exactly the same thing on my Grand Scénic 3, some bumder crashed into my rear bumper, destroyed my reversing sensor, + was destroyed the rear reversing light with a connector in it. I bought a new one on EBAY, it's a pity I didn't think of spraying the reversing light connector with spray on the electrical contacts. maybe I would save 50 € for a new rear reversing light :)

thanks for the info. worked great on a Renault ZOE 1st gen, same system...😁👍in my case the fog bulb was ok, just bunch of rust and gunk... bit of cleaning spray on the lamp and the connector and its fine for now... will keep an eye on it...

Boss how to replace Car Horn ?

I've never known a car horn to go wrong! Have you checked the fuse for the horn? The fuse-box will be in the glove box or the left-hand side of the steering wheel or in the engine bay. Do a search on-line, find the exact location for the horn fuse on your car make and model year and check if its seated properly or needs replacing. 👍

Hello just curious to know what wire would be for the reverse light as I need to connect a rear reverse camera to it but need to attach to the reversing light

At the bulb socket there are two wires to power the reversing lamp bulb. I'm assuming (perhaps wrongly) that one is positive, and the other negative. Thanks for watching #HowToBloke 👍
