This tutorial is very helpful! The mint chocolate chip bar looks especially delicious - I'd be tempted to take a bite out of it if I didn't know better!

That was really cool to see the time laps of the hardening process. So, the resin u used turns white, or did u put coloring in with it? Also, what happens if u mix the pigment into the hardener instead of the resin? Does it ruin it or something? Just curious. Great video, I really enjoy ur vids.

Amanda Hill hi there. In the video she used a white fast cast resin. This resin dries fairly quickly and turns white when done if no pigments are used.

Hi! I was just wondering if there was a specific place you got your mold from? (Your work is awesome! Keep it up!!)

Thank you! I actually made this one (I have a tutorial on how to make molds), but I like buying molds from MoldsbyMia. She has a website and Etsy shop

Can we use acrylic paint to colour resin?
@Mintyholic6 жыл бұрын
I have seen people use acrylic paint successfully, but whenever I have tried it, it leaves little specks of paint all in the resin and I can't mix it properly. That may just be me though lol.

I will do some experimentation today to see how it turns out :)

you can actually add color to these as long as you use powder pigments. You have to add and mix it into the yellow part first before you add in the white/clear part. As long as you do that, you can make pastel pieces with this resin
@Mintyholic6 жыл бұрын
Yes, I added color half way through the video. However, I was taught to add color to the clear part, not the yellow part. And I have always used the liquid resin pigments I show in the video without a problem :)
@bianjh62436 жыл бұрын
my bad! I only looked at the first half of your video, I should have looked at the entire video. Between you and me, does the resin ever feel kinda chalky to you? cuz compared to regular resin, it feels kinda chalky to me
@Mintyholic6 жыл бұрын
Lol, it's all good! Idk about chalky, but when mine gets fairly old, the yellow hardener part gets these chunky hard pieces in the bottom of the bottle and it's weird. >.

I get them from ebay! I usually just type in the phone model and "clear case."

What is this chemical you are using? It's not resin?
@CrimsonCrowess5 жыл бұрын
it is resin, but I have never seen a resin that becomes opaque. I've always thought that resin was clear unless you add opaque colors.

I think these fake chocolate bars are adorable and look Yummy but you could always make real ones

Emily Granger well it isn’t supposed to look realistic anyways, these are used to put on decoden phone cases usually.
