They are also in bloom in Washington, DC. There are festivals, parades and other events around their blooming season each year. If you can, check them out. Try following the Washington Post news or social media for all the details. Not too much happening now around it (May) but usually end of March into April is when things are happening. Hope you get to visit to make your wish come true and get to Japan one day also. Last but not least, Thanks for this video, I love it.

Do you have to use UV resin to seal the film on? Or could regular resin be used? I know I'd end up waiting forever but all I currently have is regular resin

Oh wow everyone else I've seen make these Shaker charms use a syringe to fill it up but yours is different! I don't have to buy a syringe! 😆 I wonder if your technique is more difficult tho since when I close the space, a tiny bit of resin would go inside..
@Mintyholic5 жыл бұрын
I've never had an issue getting resin inside, but there's usually a leak after the first seal, so I have to go over again with UV resin >.< I actually did buy a syringe recently and it is easier, but you can def do it without one!

I love cherry blossoms and this Shaker is so beautiful ❤ The only thing I whould change is that you drill a hole in the resin to fill the shaker from that. The big airbubble bother me but its just my opinion :D

What baby oil do you use? If you don't mind me asking. All the baby oils I find are scented or have minerals, shea butter, and such and I don't know what it can or can't have for the shaker. :(( Thank you for reading!

Hi! I dont know if this video is current or not, but I'm in a really bad time right now and resin has been the only thing keeping me going. I recently decided to try this kind, but I keep having leaks when I put the transparent film on. How do I prevent this? Can someone give me a detailed written rundown? I'm really desperate because I legit have nothing else to look forward to than doing my resin work every day aha
@YuraCura20064 жыл бұрын
I had the same issue and I used a different type of shaker mold (that has its own lid rather than using plastic film). I use uv resin to seal the edges. even if I find a small leak just wipe it away and quickly apply uv resin to it and cure to seal it up again. my edges come out lumpy at times but at least it's sealed. hope it helps. oh and another issue I had was I didn't realize that my uv light was low on battery thus making things not cure as they are supposed to. so I switched out the batteries and now it's back to normal. I noticed that people 'dome' their shakers with epoxy resin too. I think that not only makes it look pretty but also really seals things up. I'm sorry that you're going through bad times. I hear ya... I made a blessings jar and wrote the blessings that God has done for me down on paper and put them inside. so when I am feeling bad or things are going bad I open the jar and read them. reminding myself that sorrow is just for a night but joy is on the morrow.

Why does everyone use baby oil? Just a question :)
@prettyangel99595 жыл бұрын
s¡r¡us you can use baby oil or shaker oil, Im pretty sure it’s because it makes the shaking effect slower, and water doesn’t last as long in the shaker
@misou41075 жыл бұрын
@@prettyangel9959 oh! Thank you so much :)
@YuraCura20064 жыл бұрын
I think it's because water evaporates after awhile. And baby oil/shaker oil lasts longer.

Okay so I use this same method however I use an ink syringe to fill after I drill a hole in the top. However I’m having trouble because the screws I have aren’t the same size as the syringe. Maybe I should just use a pipette instead of trying to find the same size eyelit screw as the syringe I’m using to fill.
@Mintyholic5 жыл бұрын
A pipette might work! I just bought this pack of syringes from Amazon that comes with all diff sizes, idk if that would be helpful for you amzn.to/2IY9jyt
